Hello flower friends! Thank you all for being here and your continued support. I appreciate every one of you!
Even though social media is so important for small businesses I have decided to take the next few weeks away from it.
If you have been here awhile you know my flower journey began after losing my mom from a rare disease called Multiple System Atrophy. The 16th of October will be 7 years since we lost her. 💔 On the 17th it is my 37th birthday 🎂 and my 9th wedding anniversary 👰🏻♀️ so it’s the perfect time for me to step away for a little while.
I promise to be back with lots of flowers and share a little of what I do in my off time. Please don’t leave or unengage because I need you all to keep my small business bloomin’. Life is too short, buy the flowers, do the things you love, 💕 Katelyn

Watch the Passionflower bloom! Have a Bloomin’ week!
Passionflower (Passiflora) has been used to represent Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
This week I was able to get a bunch from @piedmontwholesaleflowers grown by @clearblackflowers 💜
My mom was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy in 2009 and it took her in 2017. In the grief I found joy in flowers. Not just any flowers but local, fresh cut flowers. #multiplesystematrophy #awareness #passionflower #freshflowers #locallygrown #joyinflowers #myflowerjourney
Real Talk Tuesday!
Real Talk Tuesday!! 🐝
First off I missed featured flower Monday. It will be back next week 🙃 (hopefully).
Piggybacking on last week’s RTT. I got the question again about roses this week. This time in particular yellow roses. I always answer with I support local NC flower farmers which means I use only in season flowers. I did see a few bunches of roses on @piedmontwholesaleflowers online market for this week. So I told the customer I would check when I went to pickup and shop the market today.
The first thing on the flower bar that caught my eye was yellow roses! 🌹
Yellow any flower has a deep feeling to me. It was my mom’s favorite color 💛. Every yellow flower reminds of her. The customer was ordering flowers for her daughter. While we were talking she mentioned my mom and my story. She said she knew I would understand the Mother/ Daughter connection. 🥹
Well long story short I got the sense my mom had a hand in those yellow roses at the market. All the feelings for Mother’s Day week.

Hey look I did that! This artificial floral piece was an inspiration from a door way in London. A dear friend @juliafreifeld challenged me as an artist and I’m so glad she did. Now this is me shouting to heaven, hey look mom I made it!#florals #inspiring #floralartist #love #homedecor #multiplesystematrophy
Snapdragons have been my number one flower since I was child because they could talk! Honestly it was the only flower I liked. Now I have lots of favorites and hope to grow to have even more!#flowerfun #ncflorist #designlocal #freshflowers Snaps sourced @findstemz
Today is a day of hope for few. As most people don’t even know the disease. I promised myself I would share Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) in hope that one day the sharing would lead to a cure. In hope that the ones who are affected by MSA will not feel alone. In hopes that one day it won’t be a death sentence. I’m not sure that day will ever come yet here I am holding onto the hope. No one wants to hear about the struggle and death that come with MSA. We live in a world where looking or reading that information is just too hard or it won’t happen to me. So if you made it this far thank you for making my efforts somewhat meaningful. Today is World MSA Day, a day no one wants to be a part of, a day many will never know, a day I try to spread hope. Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a rare neurological disease that causes certain brain areas to deteriorate. Over time, this disrupts abilities and functions handled by those brain areas. This disease is ultimately fatal. MSA is a new term that combines features of three older condition names. MSA took my mom. My mom’s love is the reason behind Bee Bloomin’ Florist. I hope to spread awareness through the beauty of flowers with the grief I feel from the loss of my mom. Life’s too short, buy the flowers. #MultipleSystemAtrophy #WorldMSADay #awareness #hope #grief #love
