Chinese Lantern Festival is open nightly during the holiday season, from Nov. 17, 2023 thru Jan. 14, 2024, transforming Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre into a magical setting of illuminated lanterns. The Festival includes all-new lanterns and fun interactive displays for kids young and old! Enjoy the festival's many surprises this year, which are sure to mesmerize visitors. The Booth Amphitheatre box of

fice is open Wednesdays thru Fridays, 12:00pm to 6:00pm, until Oct. 29. During the festival, the box office opens daily from 4pm to 9pm. We encourage visitors to purchase tickets in advance. Your ticket includes Chinese cultural performances on the venue stage at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 each night. Free parking is available at Booth Amphitheatre onsite lots.

Due to the severity of the structural damage from the storms that came through the area on Tuesday, January 9th the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival will close for this year effective today, January 11, 2024. Patrons holding tickets for the remaining days will receive instructions via email about refund options.

Important Event Notice: Upon further inspection of all the lanterns at the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival, organizers have identified some structural damage that requires immediate repair before visitors are allowed back in the venue. Therefore, the Festival will be CLOSED TONIGHT, JANUARY 10, 2024.

These repairs are being addressed and the hope is to reopen tomorrow, Thursday, January 11. All purchased tickets will be good for any other night until January 14.

Visit the 5th annual N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival during our final week. We’re wrapping up a 7-week run at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre. We are open Sunday night (1/5), then closed for one night Monday (1/6), followed by a final week run open thru January 12, 2020. The festival has transformed Booth Amphitheatre into a magnificent setting of holiday lights, lanterns, and cultural acrobatic performances. The Festival includes ALL-NEW lanterns, each one comprised of hundreds of parts, and thousands of LED lights. With a special all-new giant lantern on Symphony Lake to delight visitors! Plus, we've got many surprises to mesmerize visitors and create family memories to start your new year. Each larger-than-life lantern will wow visitors with its amazing craftsmanship, cultural significance and artistic beauty. We have all-new cultural performances and artisan crafts this season, including Chinese juggling, dance, acrobats, martial arts, contortion and more!
