Cake tasting will always be my favorite part of planning! 🍰✨

For this tasting, the planning was seamless, emails were prompt and the in-store experience was even better than expected.

And here’s the fun part: there’s always something new to discover during a tasting, whether it’s a flavor combo that surprises you or a design that sparks inspiration. My favorite moments are the ones when the jaw drops, eyes widen and the surprise hits - because at the end of the day, my client’s joy is my “Why.”

⛔STOP Underestimating Setup & Breakdown time!

It’s not “just” an hour+. It’s the make-or-break margin for smooth execution, team readiness, guest experience and refundable deposits.

Plan smarter. Finish stronger. 💡🎯

🤯Not every venue includes setup/breakdown time — I know, unfortunate. So you WILL either pay for the extra hours or pay in stress (and staff overtime).

Note: Just because the other vendors SAY they’ll share responsibility...doesn’t mean they actually will🤦🏽‍♀️. It’s game, they all say they will 😅
Get it in writing 📝 Budget for Support—not Promises 💰

Skimping = rushed setups + messy breakdowns + unexpected backend costs. Trust.

Coming down from the high of a double event weekend…slowly! I had the opportunity to pay closer attention to the chatter concerning me and have more conversations with venue owners, real estate brokers, catering staff and socialites this weekend! Guess what? They all said similar things about me and noticed the passion I bring to producing events. It has always been my prayer that clients feel my advocacy, venues see my attention to detail and all vendor interactions are upbeat and sincere. Thank you for such applause from our last event! Counting down til we work together again💯
It’s a lot of podcast, I know…but listen to this one! It’s so relevant! Heavy on evolution and real light on the fluff! She’s doing God’s work with this platform, one perspective shift after another and no copays are exchanged! 😂

To Favor or NOT to favor? There’s no rule! Weddings carry an expectation, but there is no requirement. Personally, I love a functional keepsake or trinket with edibles and alwaysssss suggest them. It’s just thoughtful. It’s effort. The small things leave an impression and make your guest feel more than just ordinary. Not only do favors remind them of the TIME they had celebrating you and your milestone, but more importantly, it’s your thank you. I won’t go in on how thank you cards are ignored these days because I’ll just get sad lol!

So…go light or real heavy coordinating your favor to your theme. To favor or not to favor is whatever gives you the greatest amount of peace when all is said and done.

When I’m narrowing a list of venues for a client, I ask them to prioritize a few things. Namely location, investment and overall feel. Depending on their answer, I sometimes encourage clients to pick swanky spaces that don’t require so much decor. It’s responsible of me 😇. Less decor+less setup time= less $ usually. But if ever I have a lil persuasive juice, a tinge of “say”, you’ll find me pitching the most neutral and naked of spaces every singleeee time. Marbles is my fave. It remains in my top, ✋🏽 down! Reliving this Reception, same month, many moons ago 🥰

October is the absolute best month to host your event. I have 9 events and counting!

Did you know October is one of the worst months? No? Here’s why.
•Campaign Events. Election Events. Early Voting.
•It’s one of the most popular wedding months. It’s believed that an October wedding ensures a marriage full of love🥰
•Weather. It’s the transition from comfort to winter temps. Requiring Plan A, B and C. Both heaters and fans on reserve!
•Competition with Halloween. You know that holiday where people are encouraged to dress up, scare folk, extort candy and threaten mischief.
•Then there’s the October effect. Since the biggest financial declines, stock crashes and black days happened in October, MANY fear the unknowns in October!

I might not ever get over how incredibly stunning this aisle turned out! Dreams absolutely do come true! Operate in both minimal AND statement and have your moment. It is your runway after all.

I absolutely loveeeeee floral aisles! Extremely costly to essentially just walk on, BUT, splurge if it makes sense for your budget and vision. Who doesn’t deserve a gorgeous rose petal floral scape as their aisle? It would look amazing on your special day, especially when the space is architecturally interesting and you’re looking to soften the space. My heart literally skipped a beat once it was done.

I love busting myths and misconceptions, so here’s one – a successful event is measured by the price tag. It’s NOT!! So how can you pull off an event without breaking the bank you ask? Here are three easy ways you can cut costs effectively:
•Strive for decor simplicity. An understated lower but neatly arranged look will do!
•When choosing the event space, try to choose the one with all the inclusions…all the rentals and even major vendors included! That’ll help with overall logistics, delivery, setup and breakdown fees.The contracted venue hours will be significantly less too!
•Don’t be afraid of a beer/wine package or even serving heavy hors d’oeuvres and stations.

I loved planning and producing this golf-themed dinner party! From a golf-themed 5-course menu to a golf ball centerpiece, I can’t begin to tell you which part I enjoyed the most. It was so much fun creating ways to add elements of the game into a dining experience.

5-tier cakes have my heart! But when it comes to this design by I will be forever in love. The artistry of the cascading snowflakes, the clean crisp lines, the perfect 90° angles… it was a dream to consult on. Forgoing those traditional round tiers and adding square with ALLLLLL the accents, created this breathtakingly customized Superman vs. Batman masterpiece! It complemented the wedding aesthetic flawlessly.

This type of “winter weather” permits outside Covid friendly pull up activities 🙌🏽

One of the joys of event planning are the endless opportunities I have to help foster and build community every time I produce. This is why I absolutely love planning neighborhood or squad movie nights! Since you can’t watch a movie without snacks…options were extensive.

What is your favorite movie to watch with friends, and what are your go-to movie snacks? I hope not BBQ pork skins! 🤦🏽‍♀️
