Many weather experts predict a very destructive season this year. The American Red Cross needs volunteers to help on the ground and blood donors to roll up a sleeve to maintain a stable blood supply in the face of emergencies.
The American Red Cross has an emergency need for lifesaving
blood amid the ongoing severe blood shortage. Blood donations continue to be critical to meet hospital demand.

🇺🇸 Join us in Cascade, Iowa as we celebrate our nations freedom and the 100th Anniversary of American Legion Post 528 on this beautiful 4th of July!

🇺🇸 The festivities kick off at 2pm with a parade but we’d suggest arriving early to grab your spot!

🇺🇸 While you’re waiting, stop into one of our downtown shops or restaurants. They’re open and excited to serve up your favorite food or drink or help you find that special item you’ve been looking for!

🇺🇸 Following the parade, military honors for deceased veterans will be held at the Legion Park Veterans Memorial. Later in the afternoon, Legionnaires will be honored on the ball field and there will be a ceremony for the disposal of unserviceable flags.

🇺🇸 Throughout the day we’ve got live music, youth softball and baseball games, kids activities including a dunk tank and bouncy house, Tri County Cruisers, even a horseshoe tournament and tractor pull!

🇺🇸 Finally, after a performance by the Cascade Dance Team, listen for the National Anthem and look to the skies for the fireworks!

🇺🇸 If you love small town Americana, Cascade, Iowa is the place for you!

American Legion Post 528 calls Cascade home.

The American Legion is the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome community programs, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

In Cascade, American Legion ballpark & hall have been a gathering place for the community for several generations. Hosting weddings, community events like the annual Halloween dance, and the annual 4th of July celebration, the LOCAL community has much gratitude for the Legion and all they offer to Cascade.
