Took the kids to the greenhouse last week and it was a lovely time. As always. 💛 We came home with the started plants we needed, more seeds, and a couple of pretty spirea we wanted for the end of the driveway. We also forgot some seeds and had to go again today. That’s fine by me ;) Every year we add a little more to our gardening knowledge, and this year one of those first time things is growing potatoes!

Bemidji has had some strange weather lately, and it’s just beautiful out there. Frozen and white!

We crunched along on an ambling, happy walk down the driveway with chilled fingers and toes. These, my friends, are my most favorite people and being out together this afternoon was a brief snippet of the kind of quality time we all need. Laughing, running, (some sickies, so also coughing) and just being amazed at how cold a “Fall” day can be. It’s almost Winter solstice, and we’re ready!

As a photographer, I’d say I’m pretty bad at Instagram. I’m not going to apologize for that. But as a creative person who likes to share joy in the simple things, I wish I knew better how to share with you these windows of my life, and a professional portfolio, and keep our safety and privacy and be “a real person”. And I’m convinced if my Instagram feed looked and sounded the way I wish it did, I wouldn’t be living the life I am. I’d be missing out and wishing I was really presently living life. I love seeing IG posts, reels and stories and wish I had some to “give” you. Because I’m always out there. I’ve had many beautiful sessions and I just feel weird about sharing it all. I don’t know why! I’ve been like this for maybe three years, just not giving the thought and time into IG to make it what I wish it was, but still loving being here.
