The Orlando Trachtenverein are a group of young and old, Germans and non-Germans who are dedicated to the performance of the traditional Bavarian folk dances, schuhplattler dances, music and other Alpine entertainment in Florida. The Orlando Trachten Verein are a group of young and old, Germans and non-Germans who are dedicated to the performance of the traditional folk dances (Schuhplattler and V

olkstaenze) Pascher and music, and preservation of the costumes (Tracht), traditions and customs of Bavaria. We were supported and sponsored by the German American Society of Central Florida. We meet at the German American Society of Central Florida which is located at 381 Orange Lane Casselberry Florida. We meet weekly for dance practice and monthly for business meetings as well as social get-together's, practices. Our Adult Dance group performs regularly throughout the year at various events in the Orlando and surrounding areas. We perform at events in the German community, Oktoberfests, weddings, private and corporate parties and at local restaurants. We are a Child-friendly organization and have recently formed a Kinder Gruppe (Children’s Dance Group). If you are interested in Bavarian dance, music or culture, please join us.
