Don't leave your guests hanging when they're waiting for their turn at the buffet at your wedding reception... do this instead!!

Instead of stationary like menus, they created a card with games each person can play with their neighbor.

This is not only considerate, but also a fun way to keep them entertained.

Happy 4th everyone!!!

If you didn't know, Lesley and I got married on the 4th of July, so it's a special day for us in more ways than one.

We love the summer, we love to party, and we love fireworks, so we couldn't have picked a better day for us!

Little did we know that our wedding on the 4th would be the start of something truly amazing, our business Exclusive Events.

While we'd still classify our wedding as one of our most memorable days, we had a lot of things go wrong day of and plenty of stressors leading up to the big day.

Our mission since day one has been to minimize the stress and maximize the fun on each couples BEST DAY EVER!

You don't want this moment to fall flat...

Here are our favorite wedding planning tips when it comes to the entrance:

PICK THE RIGHT MUSIC. Think fun, hype songs that get people pumped up. Like you favorite sports team headed onto the field, or a boxer headed to the ring.

ASK YOUR DJ TO PLAY IT AT THE RIGHT MOMENT. Cue the song at the BEST part, which is usually the chorus. Don't start from the beginning (unless it starts with a bang).

GET YOUR WEDDING PARTY INVOLVED. These people are your hype squad. It's up to them to get the crowd pumped up. Whether they have something choreographed/planned, or just run out with high energy, they need to get guests ready for you!

The couple was able to find them on Etsy, and had them shipped all the way from Europe.

We captured this moment of surprise as this bride finally got to reveal a BIG secret she's been keeping from her future husband!

In her own words, she said "I've never kept ANYTHING from him so this was sooo hard."

He really wanted a videographer for their wedding, but it "wasn't in the budget." So she hired .business behind his back!

As their coordinator it made the planning process much more challenging, but it was all worth it for this moment.

Who pays for what at the wedding?!

Traditionally, the brides family covers the wedding, grooms family covers the rehearsal dinner and honeymoon, and wedding party pays for the bachelor(ette) parties.

However, financial situations from couple to couple, so that's not always the case.

Most of us don't like asking for help, but the simple fact is a wedding is a celebration of the joining of two families.

While a couple might be able to afford a small wedding with their closest people, bringing everyone else along can get expensive. So, it's only fair that the family help out as well.

We recommend throwing a dinner party, or get together with those you want help from, then present the idea and see who can contribute what.

You'd often be surprised who is willing to give to the cause!

When is the best time to do wedding toasts/speeches?

Before we get into that, let's talk about how to keep them fun and keep your guests engaged.

As a guest, you really don't want to listen to people speaking for a long period of time, especially if you're not close to them.

20 MINUTE TOTAL TIME LIMIT. We recommend having toasts last no more than 20 minutes. When they go beyond that, you start to lose your guests attention.

5 MINUTE TIME LIMIT. Each toast should be a maximum of five minutes, with a total of 4 toasts. That leaves time for the Best Man, MOH, and each set of parents. Toasts that are longer tend to drag on.

IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL TOASTS. If there are others that want to share their well wishes, or give a longer speech, have them do so at the rehearsal dinner.

If you're looking to maximize dancing time at your wedding, the best time to have toasts is right after the last guest has been served. Trust us, we've seen it done a million other ways and it just doesn't work.

DOING TOASTS BEFORE DINNER. Doing toasts before dinner isn't efficient because it holds up dinner service. Also, if some of the speakers don't abide by the time limits, dinner gets cold.

DOING TOASTS WHILE GUESTS ARE BEING SERVED. Holding toasts while service is going on is a bad idea because there is way to much commotion.

Jessica and Doug couldn't wait to celebrate and PARTY with all their favorite people on wedding day, but were also worried that the evening would be disorganized and guests wouldn't be having fun...
..so they trusted us to help make this the best day of their lives!

To say their wedding was epic is an understatement and it's all because of the dream team at and who expertly captured their wedding memories!

On the entertainment side we provided our DJ service, tons of fun lighting (uplighting and dance floor lighting), and our Photo Booth with was packed the WHOLE NIGHT!

This is where real WEDDING MAGIC HAPPENS!!

Hiring wedding vendors that love working with each other is a sure way to have an amazing day, especially when it comes to your wedding DJ, coordinator, and photographer.

THEY KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM EACH OTHER. This is the biggest plus! They know what the other needs to put out the best results and work together to get those results.

- While your DJ is focused on keeping everyone entertained, they also need to be aware of how the timeline affects the photographers and coordinators schedules, and how to manage the audience to accommodate them.

- While the coordinator is focused on overall logistics, they need to be aware of what the DJ and photographer need to properly provide the results the client are looking for.

- While the photographer is focused on capturing epic pictures, they need to understand how this might interfere with the couples other desires (spending time with guests, epic dance party) and the DJs ability to entertain properly.

THEY GET EXCITED WHEN THEY SEE EACH OTHER. Just like the toddlers in the intro, we love seeing familiar faces. When your vendors are happy, they put out their best work.

THEY KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE THEIR NEEDS WITH ONE ANOTHER. Communication is key to a successful wedding. When people aren't familiar with others, they don't know their style of communication.

Always ask your vendors if they have suggestions for other vendors they live to work with. They'll be excited to share their favs!

What's the story behind the best man at a wedding?!

Like most wedding traditions, the history is not very romantic.

In medieval times, the best man was the "best swordsman."

Why would you need a swordsman at a wedding?

Well, when a village ran out of marriageable women, the groom and his posse would fetch them a bride from a neighboring village.

As you can guess, this ruffled a few feathers.

So, during the ceremony, the best man would be ready, hand on sword, to protect the groom and keep anyone from stopping the marriage.

Nowadays, we marry our partners in a more mutual fashion. However, the best men are still the ones we can truly count on to have our backs.

This private residence is nicer than 99% of wedding venues.... it's a whole vibe!!!

First of all, the whole place is well manicured and well maintained.

It also backs up to a lake!

They have a modern barn like structure which they converted to the wedding reception space, complete with beautiful chandeliers and drapery.

However, the best part is the dock. They transformed it into a beautiful ceremony space.
