Welcome to the 8th Annual Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival November 18th - 20th 2022

The City of Cathedral City and Palm Desert based Fantasy Balloon Flights will bring many whimsical hot air balloons and specialty balloons to Cathedral City for three days of morning balloon flights, evening Balloon Glows and fun for the whole family! The Cathedral City Amphitheatre Park will be the venu

e again for the popular Food Truck Fiesta. This event will open Friday afternoon and all day Saturday with many of the top southern California food trucks for you to enjoy, with LIVE entertainment through out the day, a beer garden and a walk through hot air balloon to take pictures in. Two Balloon Glows are planned to take place at dusk, Friday at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa Dance Party, and Saturday evening at the Balloon Festival in downtown Cathedral City. After dark the 7-story balloons light up like gigantic colorful light blubs. Relax and enjoy the live music and the view of the Balloon Glow from the Rooftop View Lounge or walk amongst the balloons to capture fun photos and meet the balloon teams. Thank you to the City of Cathedral City, our sponsors, volunteers and balloon teams! A portion of the proceeds from the Cathedral City Balloon Festival will be donated to our charity partner SEAthletes Foundation, to benefit local youth and bring awareness to the restoration of the Salton Sea.

Join us for fun for the whole family! The events include balloon tether rides, night time balloon glow, romantic dinners, sunrise pancake breakfasts, hot air balloon rides, musical entertainment, gourmet food, Kids' Zone family-friendly activities and so much more! We are pleased to partner with the City of Cathedral City, Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa, and Fantasy Balloon Flights.

We are proud to give back to the community. The SEAthletes Foundation will receive a portion of the proceeds. The donation will be used to benefit the valley’s youth and promote recreation at the Salton Sea.

General admission to the Balloon Festival is free; however, tickets and/or passes are required to participate in certain activities through out the weekend.

Fantasy Balloon Flights is family-owned and operated. We are celebrating our 40th Anniversary of operating hot air balloon services in the Coachella Valley and hope you will enjoy the 6th Annual Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival!
