Welcome back to another ! Today we’re talking about the 3 most common welding processes and how each is suited for specific tasks and materials:

🔅MIG Welding (GMAW): Ideal for quick welds and long continuous runs on metals like steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
✳️Advantages: Easy to learn, high welding speeds.🛑Disadvantages: Limited positions, requires shielding gas.

🔅TIG Welding (GTAW): Ideal for precise, high-quality welds on thin materials or aesthetic pieces.
✳️Advantages: Precise control over heat and the weld pool.
🛑Disadvantages: Slower, more skill-intensive.

🔅Stick Welding (SMAW): Ideal For outdoor conditions and on rusty or dirty metals.
✳️Advantages: Versatile, doesn’t require gas, effective on thick materials.
🛑Disadvantages: Requires frequent rod changes, slower than other methods.

Tom Bennett will transition into the role of CEO, where he will focus on product development and exploring new ways to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Tom’s leadership and strategic insight will be instrumental as we continue to innovate and expand our capabilities.

𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭
Elliott Levine will assume the role of President of Cyl-Tec. He has an engineering background and over 15 years of experience in the gas industry, 13 of which at Cyl-Tec. Elliott brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of our products and how our customers use them. As Director of Sales and Products, Elliott has built strong relationships with our customers and is well-equipped to lead us forward.

𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞
Kim Chrencik, our esteemed CFO, will be retiring to spend more time with her family. We are grateful for her years of dedication and leadership, which have played a vital role in our success. We wish Kim all the best in this exciting new chapter of her life.

In September 2024, we welcomed Scott Joschko as our Controller. Since then, he has been training under Kim to ensure a smooth transition. Scott comes to us from Cyl-Tec’s auditors and has over 18 years of experience in corporate accounting, auditing, and taxes. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our financial position.

Kirill Zelin has been promoted to Operations Director. Having been with Cyl-Tec for over five years, previously serving as a Regional Sales Manager, Kirill relocated to our headquarters last year to take on the Operations Manager role. His experience and leadership will be crucial as we streamline our operations to better serve our customers.
