Where Aunt Ruthie’s Began!
In 1921, a wonderful woman, mother, wife, and cook was born. Mildred Ruth "Aunt Ruthie" Andrews-Long was the best cook in Northeast Alabama. She and her husband, John Long, added 10 children to their union and she passed down her recipes, her techniques, and her love for cooking to all of them. Cooking for a family of 12 and other family members, she always prepared more than enough to satisfy your appetite. Her food always brought the family together and Sundays were like holidays every week in the Long household. When Aunt Ruthie passed away, her traditions and cooking skills remained here with us and we would love to share the experience of tasting the BEST homemade Southern food.
As a third generation native of Cedar Bluff, Aunt Ruthie's, has been serving the surrounding areas since 2015. Aunt Ruthie's Catering & Sweet Confections provides services for everything from a corporate event of 5,000 to a quiet breakfast of 20. Aunt Ruthie's Catering & Sweet Confections has precisely what you need to make your event ideal. Aunt Ruthie's Catering & Sweet Confections welcomes any opportunity to add their special touch in caring for your individual needs.
Aunt Ruthie's sweets are heavenly and not to mention made from scratch and made to order. Aunt Ruthie's bakes a variety of cakes, cupcakes, pies, cheesecakes, souffles, puddings, and cobblers.
