Things to make your wedding day easier:

1. Day-Of Coordinator: having someone whose job it is to keep everyone on schedule and make sure things are running smoothly will take soooo much stress off your shoulders! Also, your photographer will thank you 😉

2. Personal attendants: Bride, already have a big wedding party but still have friends/family you want to include? Personal attendants literally follow you around all day to make sure you’ve got what you need. Another helping hand or two!!

3. Emergency kit: having a makeup bag of little things like the lipstick you’re wearing, a mini stain stick, Bobby pins, and extra blister tape is a MUST. When you’re out taking pictures and your ankles start chafing against your heels, you’ll be glad you thought of it!!

You’re ✨engaged✨…now what?

Welcome to the most exciting season yet!! Engagement is such a sweet time to soak in and plan and think about what the future holds. But that doesn’t mean it’s not stressful 😅

Wedding planning can get sooo overwhelming so fast. So, what can you do to keep the stress levels down and the joy on the rise??

#1 - Hire a wedding planner! If planning isn’t your specialty or seems entirely too overwhelming, finding the right wedding planner can take a lot of stress off your plate.

#2 - Focus on the big things first. There will be time for decor, bridesmaids dresses, and seating charts later. Three vendors are the most important right off the bat: venue, photographer/videographer, and catering. These vendors fill up fast, so doing your research and getting these nailed down will help everything else fall into place!!

#3 - Wedding dress shopping!! Depending on your timeline, your dress is something to think about toward the start. Some wedding dresses take MONTHS to come in and another several weeks for alterations. Going in with an idea of what you want is a good plan, too.

I will never take for granted getting to be a part of the most important season in my best friends’ lives 🥹 Next on this list are Jess and Caleb!

These two have been going strong since junior high, and have seen each other through the awkward middle school phase, through high school, and long distance college…and here they are. Nearly a month away from forever and no more goodbyes!

Having known Caleb since middle school, I thought he would’ve been over the whole engagement photos thing pretty quickly into the shoot, but this is what he said to me: “I could be out here all night as long as she’s next to me.” 🥲

Can’t wait to celebrate these two in just a few weeks!! 🤍

I started babysitting Paige around the time she was 5 or 6, and now here she is, a beautiful young woman about to graduate 🥹

It was a beautiful fall night wandering through the trees and getting to see some of that crazy, care-free spirit that makes Paige, Paige 🤍

It’s been a minute since we’ve shown our faces on here, so let’s do a quick intro!!

I’m Lauren, photographer and stay-at-home mama to the sweet baby boy in the middle. I love love love taking pics of couples, especially on the most special of days (your wedding day!!) 🤍 You can usually find me with a dirty iced chai in hand watching Law and Order 😝

My husband, Noah, is the videographer (and sometimes second shooter 😉), and loves capturing your wedding day in an artistic style! You can usually find him at his computer, working on one project or another!

What a more perfect way to kick off October than by introducing the Brummers!! 🤩

Unfortunately this fall wedding didn’t *quite* feel like fall (I.e. 80 degree weather and thunderstorms 😅), but I still had a blast capturing my sweet friend’s special day 🥲

It’s such a blessing to be able to do this job and be a part of such special days, especially when I’ve known the bride since we were 6!!

Long time no see! 👋

Life has been crazy in the Way Made household the last few months 🫠 We welcomed baby boy, and nearly all of our attention has been focused on him (big surprise). But as we start busy season off in a few weeks, it’s time to get back to the real world!

I’m so excited for all the shoots and weddings we’ve got coming up this summer and getting back into the swing of things! Postpartum is no joke, people 😅 But I’m ready to get back at it!!

This wedding was meant to happen while I am on maternity leave, but due to an unforeseen deployment, I had the privilege of capturing this beautiful couple 🤩

Shooting a 9 hour wedding 7 months pregnant is no joke, but these two made it soooo worth it! They were down for pretty much anything, including a fun flash session at the end of the night (check out the last pic 👀) Safe to say I'll be doing more of these for weddings to come...
