For half a century the UNI Interpreters Theatre has produced work based on social and cultural issue Located in Lang Hall 040.

The mission of the UNI Interpreters Theatre program is to offer students opportunities to learn about performance through their participation in the creation, direction, performance, and production of scripts based on social and cultural issues, oral histories, ethnographies and traditional performances of literature. The Interpreters Theatre performance laboratory embraces inclusivity and equity in our productions, and roles are available for any person and ability!

Alert: End The Mass Shooting Epidemic opened last night and it was a stunning performance. Yes, the topic is emotionally charged. However, the director and writer, student Hannah Tibbs, has done a brilliant job creating a thought-provoking and empathy-producing performance. You don't want to miss this!

INTERPRETERS THEATRE AUDITION NOTICE!!
“ALERT: End the Mass Shooting Epidemic,” is written and directed by student Hannah Tibbs. This production seeks to address and provoke thoughtful discussion on the critical issue of mass shootings in our society.
Auditions will take place in the Interpreters Theatre, Room 040 in Lang Hall on March 5th from 4-6pm and March 7th from 8-10pm.
No previous audition or acting experience is necessary for this production! This is more than your usual interp show, as we hope to create something that could inspire change in our communities and the world. We encourage you to join us in doing so by auditioning!

Dog Sees God, directed by student Isaiah Dale, will hold auditions in the Interpreters Theatre on Thursday and Friday of next week from 3:30-5:30pm!
Audition sides will be provided at auditions, so just bring yourself, a water bottle, and a willingness to have fun!

SYNOPSIS: Laughter and literature collide in this smash hit comedy about books and the people who love them.
SETTING: The United States of America circa now in a living room. This play is stylized like a film documentary.
No experience or preparation needed for audition. You will read from scenes in the script.
Congratulations to Storytellers Club for a successful performance last night! The stories that were told were very insightful and thought-provoking, and it was a privilege to listen and be a part of the experience.

Emma Dunsbergen is a third year student majoring in Communication! They will be directing the piece, "Thanks, Mrs. S" which details about an ELA student who gets the nickname of crybaby from a mean teacher.
Parker Miller is a third year student majoring in Communication! They are directing "Slandering the Hobbit in Righteous Pursuit of Feminine Empowerment" and is an actor in "Gingerbread House," which discusses welcoming home a sister from the psychiatric ward on Christmas Day.
Kellie Stiles is a third year student majoring in Communication! They will be directing the piece "Vultures with Camera" with tells the story of a student who goes to observe a sentencing of a man who was convicted of voluntary manslaughter.

Claire Snyder is a third year student at UNI and is majoring in Communications! They are an actor is the piece "My Comfort School" and are directing "I Will Never Ask A Boy To Dance Again" which discusses "being the “other woman” at a middle school dance."

This is Sadie Blomberg, and she is playing the role of Sadie, formally known as Girl 4! She is a first year student and is currently an Exploratory major. Outside of the theater, Sadie is involved with the women’s chorus of Caecilians, the concert band playing the clarinet, and the Student Nature Society.
