Out of Focus Entertainment Productions was formed with the vision of creating quality and entertaining DJ and Karaoke shows at an affordable price. As the company has grown since its inception in 2008, the vision

has since extended into becoming a complete entertainment and event planning services organization. Based out of the Chicago area, Out Of Focus Entertainment has over 15 years experience in it's disc jockeys, karaoke jockeys, MC's/hosts & ancillary services personnel. Our experience has ranged from small private events, to bars/clubs, to mega weddings & corporate events. Celebrating 17 Years of Out of Focus Entertainment

As we step into 2025, we proudly celebrate a significant milestone—17 years of Out of Focus Entertainment!

Founded in 2008, Out of Focus Entertainment began as a simple idea—almost by accident. Like many businesses, we started with limited equipment, minimal experience, and barely a budget. Yet, thanks to the guidance and bold visions of incredible mentors, the unwavering support of our family and friends, and those early clients who took a chance on us, we have grown into the company we are today and one of the most popular and sought after DJ & Karaoke entertainment companies in the Chicagoland and NW Indiana area!

Over the past 17 years, we’ve had the privilege of providing entertainment for thousands of events—ranging from bar and club gigs to weddings, festivals, corporate functions, public and private events. Along the way, we’ve met remarkable people, partnered with amazing clients, and collaborated with some outstanding talent. Through constant reinvestment in our company, continuous learning, and a commitment to mastering our craft, we have grown, expanded, and evolved immensely, however, we’ve never lost sight of our beginnings—one weekly gig at a small bar in Orland Park, where we actually had to borrow sound equipment and earned a whole $80 for the night.

As with any business, the journey has had it's ups and downs. It’s been through these challenges—whether financial setbacks, tough competition, moments of frustration, or just the not great people you sometimes encounter in such a cut throat industry—that we’ve learned the most. There were times when it seemed easier to walk away, but we persisted and stayed true to our foundation of honesty, professionalism, and delivering quality entertainment at a fair price, which has allowed us to thrive, reach this incredible milestone, earn multiple awards for, and is what sets us apart from the rest.

We owe our success over the past 17 years to our loyal clients, past and present, our partners in the industry, the talented individuals we’ve had the pleasure of working with, and each of you who has supported us in some way.

As part of this celebration, we’re excited to announce the retirement of our original, 17 year old logo, and unveil our fresh, new, carefully crafted and designed logo! As our business has evolved, our look has also evolved, but our commitment to providing exceptional entertainment and upholding our founding principles remains the same.

Another holiday themed event!

This past weekend, Out of Focus Ent. hosted another holiday themed event, an Ugly Christmas Sweater party at Bugaboo's bar and grill in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

These themed events are always fun and it's always a great time to see how much thought or creativity people put into their outfits for the theme. This event had a great turn out with some great sweaters and it was a great night of the establishment's patrons dancing and enjoying the spirit of the holidays. We brought just a basic DJ rig with some basic effects lights which was more than enough for this smaller sized bar.

Out of Focus Ent. hosted another beautiful wedding this past weekend at the Cloister In The Woods events venue in Munster, Indiana.

Our clients for this wedding reception chose our budget conscious friendly "Gold" wedding reception package, but also requested to add-on two of our upright, uplit, trusses with the moving head effects lights atop. These upright trusses are part of our two higher wedding reception packages, but we had no problem honoring our clients' special request to add them to the package they chose to make them happy on their big night!

This past weekend, Out of Focus hosted a Sweet 16 party inside the restaurant at the Tinley Park Metra Station - 80th Ave.

This event has about 50 people at it, so our basic DJ package was more than enough for our client.

Just as we can rock a large event of hundreds of people or a festival of thousands of people, we also have just as much fun rocking a room of a small group. The birthday girl submitted a song request list to us and her and her friends enjoyed dancing to them all evening celebrating her big day!

Our basic DJ Package is perfect for non formal, smaller events like birthday parties, holiday parties, graduation parties or. block parties and we offer it at a very affordable rate.

This past weekend, Out of Focus Ent. had the pleasure of providing DJ entertainment for the Town of Cedar Lake Parks and Recreation , Taylor Ice Festival in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

For both days of it, we filled the air for this festival with some jamming Christmas dancing music!

Logistics for this event are always complicated because of the sheer size and layout of the event. But Out of Focus Ent. had no problem bringing a sound system to fill the air with music for the entire festival grounds, and filled the stage with lighting to create that perfect holiday atmosphere.

Out of Focus Ent. is also a fully licensed, registered, and insured company, a requirement to do events for municipal entities.

But, once all the planning was completed, it went off without a hitch and was a fun wintertime festival to be a part of!

Another for Out Of Focus Ent. this past weekend and what a fun and unique wedding it was!

One of the most unique things of this wedding is it was not held at your typical reception hall, but a rented warehouse type building in Orland Park, Illinois that the bride and groom transformed into a beautiful room for their reception!

Our bride and groom chose one of Out of Focus Ent's top end DJ reception packages, our Platnium Package, which includes premium sound and all kinds of premium lighting. It was a tight squeeze fitting our rig where our bride and groom wanted it, but we made it happen, and the dance floor was enjoying every second of it all night!

Out of Focus Entertainment hosted a country and western themed private event this past weekend, coordinated by the great people at Bright Light Events & Entertainment, at the beautiful Canvas Venue / Canvas Venue Chicago in Wheeling, Illinois.

For this event, Out of Focus Ent. provided our baseline, Silver DJ package, which provides all the basics for a small-scale, more intimate style event like this one of around 30-40 people. Our new country and western friends looked great, had a blast, and the venue's decorations really made a great country and western atmosphere!

We have done many different style themed events, from the 20s, to Disco, 90s, glow parties, and now Country and Western, our experience and vast knowledge and love for all styles of music makes us versatile to all kinds of themes!

This past weekend Out of Focus Ent hosted Bugaboo's bar and grill in Cedar Lake, Indiana's annual Halloween Bash. It was a great turn out of people in some great costumes and what a great vibe it was all night there!

Out of Focus Ent. had the pleasure this past weekend of hosting another wedding at the beautiful Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn property in Delphi, Indiana.

For their on-site wedding ceremony, our clients chose our one-rate ceremony package. This package includes a speaker/PA system at the ceremony site with microphones for the officiant to conduct the ceremony and the bride and groom for their vows. This package also includes prelude, processional, in-ceremony, and recessional music, all chosen and customizable by our clients.

For their reception, our clients chose one of our Top Tier reception DJ packages, our PLATNIUM Package. Being that this reception was in a converted vintage barn, there were not only space and footprint constraints for our DJ setup, but also a height constraint. But even though we had to jam pack it all in there, sans only our front DJ facade, we were able give our client the entire Platnium DJ Reception package setup and of course it was again a real crowd pleaser. The dance floor was packed all night and that barn was rocking!

It is always bittersweet when our Summer festival and Summer events season comes to a close every year, but it gets us excited because now it means it's time for the Fall Wedding Season!

Out of Focus Ent. hosted another amazing wedding reception this past weekend in at the Bradley-Bourbonnais Sportsmans Club in Bourbonnais, IL. This wedding was a hybrid indoor/outdoor wedding reception with the dance floor outside on their beautiful patio. With our client choosing our middle of the line GOLD Wedding Reception Package, our setup fit perfectly on the patio's dance floor area and provided plenty of sound punch and lighting for our dancers all night long!

That's right, Out of Focus Ent. is a fully registered, licensed, and insured company and not only meets, but exceeds the requirements a municipality or government agency requires by a vendor! This is why you see us at many villages, towns, or agencies within in those entities events providing entertainment for you!

This past week is a great example of this, we provided hosting and DJ services again for friends at the Village Of Oak Brook and the Oak Brook Park District for the Oak Brook Police Department National Night Out Against Crime event. Even with the so-so weather, it was a good turn out and this event is always a blast for us to do!

The traditional Irish meaning of Kévon is: "a sweet, chill, and lovable guy who gets along with everyone."

After being trained the last few months, Out of Focus Ent. wants to congratulate DJ/KJ Kévon on completing his training with flying colors and now will begin hosting his own gigs! DJ/KJ Kévon comes from a musical background and has always been an avid Karaoke singer.
