Love Notes - Sunday, Feb. 16th at The Parker Jazz Club. The 6:00 show is sold out, but there are currently 6 seats remaining for the 8:30pm show! Grab your tickets for the in-person 8:30 show or purchase the livestream of either show to watch from anywhere! artbeatfound.org/festival

The 6:00pm show includes the participant showcase as well as performances from the festival faculty. The 8:30pm Show will include a special Oscar Peterson Set performed by Sarah Sevelli's Dig Tap Society as well as solos from our guest faculty: Terrence "Taps" Bennett, Terry Brock, Jay Fagan, Nicole Hockenberry, Brenna Kuhn, and Sarah Savelli!

Art Beat Tap Festival Faculty spotlight: Sarah Savelli

Join Sarah Savelli at the 5th annual The Art Beat Tap Festival, February 14-16, 2025 in Cedar Park, Texas! Register or learn more at artbeatfound.org/festival

Sarah been teaching, performing, choreographing, and producing tap events for the past 20 years. Sarah was a founding and choreographing member of Rhythm ISS…, an influential Chicago-based, all-female tap company, and is on the faculty of numerous studios, tap festivals and competition/conventions.

Best known for her swift and intricate footwork, Sarah was commissioned on three separate occasions by Playhouse Square (Cleveland, OH) to create and perform in a full-length tap work (Tap into Peace), was the first Capezio ACE Award for Tap choreography finalist in 2010, and appears in the PBS documentary Juba! The Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance.

Due to the Winter Storm Advisory, Art Beat Dance Center will be cancelling all Monday evening and Tuesday classes. Regular classes will resume on Wednesday, January 22nd.

Art Beat Tap Festival Faculty spotlight: Terry Brock

Join Terry Brock at the 5th annual The Art Beat Tap Festival, February 14-16, 2025 in Cedar Park, Texas! Register or learn more at artbeatfound.org/festival

Terry has shared the stage with legendary stars including Gregory Hines, The Nicholas Brothers, Ben Vereen, and Shirley MacLaine to name a few. Terry has choreographed and performed with the famous Duke Ellington’s son, Mercer Ellington, and has created repertory for the Oregon Symphony and appeared with the San Francisco and Seattle symphonies. Terry is regarded as one of the leading female tap contemporaries today, having been honored at U.C.L.A along with her idols Eleanor Powell and Ginger Rogers. Terry is also the conservator of Miss Powell’s choreography and is the chosen recipient of “Ellie’s” tap shoes and travel trunk.

In July 2023, she was honored by the American Tap Dance Foundation with the prestigious “Hoofer Award" - a lifetime achievement award presented to tap dancers who have contributed to the community in remarkable ways.
