Our office will be closed beginning at 4pm on Friday, December 20th. We will re-open the office on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025. Nicole complained about having to work on Monday, December 23rd before Christmas, so in my moment of weakness, I agreed to close the office one day early. For those employee that wish to thank Nicole, please Venmo her your thanks. For our clients and fans, we'll see you in 2025!

We are excited to announce that Wired had its first official scholarship recipient in 2024!! This student is currently pursuing a degree in media production studies at Kirkwood Community College and working in TV production.

We can't wait to meet our 2025 receipient!! This scholarship is for students to find their success in the production industry, and who knows? Maybe one day they'll work for us!

From job shadows to scholarships and beyond, Wired Production Group is invested in supporting students in event and video production careers.

Normally, we're giving, but right now, we're TAKING.....a moment to tell you about celebrating our GIVING! And boy, did we give a lot! This year, we contributed over $165,000 in charitable donations to nonprofits across the Midwest. This doesn't include the 1,400+ hours of volunteer time our team donated over the last 12 months. We try to highlight one nonprofit on our website and social media. We found it important to highlight Central Furniture Rescue, an organization that helps families transition out of homelessness in Eastern Iowa. This is the perfect time of year to be together, have a place to call home, and celebrate the holidays! Serving individuals and families here helps our community grow together. Today is National Entrepreneur's Day, a holiday that isn't celebrated as much as it should be. Today, we want to recognize our fearless leader, Ron Rausch (the selfie dude in this pic!). If you don't know Ron, you're missing out on one cool human.

Nearly 25 years ago, Ron began his first small business venture, Rausch Productions. He hired one employee, Rob Silver (yes! RockIt! He is the OG employee!), and they hit the ground running from the garage at his home. Ron’s clients ranged from small businesses in Eastern Iowa to national sports and news channels…and they continued to grow as the years progressed.

After just a few short years in business as Rausch Productions, the company started traveling across the United States (and other countries) to service a growing base of corporate clients that required not just video production services but audio, lighting, and staging, too. To continue to grow the company, Ron looked to partner with another business that could complement his company’s services and grow at the same pace. That’s when Ron reached out to Nate Hines, the owner of 16th Avenue Music in Cedar Rapids. Nate was ready to retire, so Rausch Productions and 16th Avenue Music joined forces to create Wired Production Group in 2016 under Ron's leadership. Some say the rest is history, but others say that’s when the good stuff was just getting started.

Next month, we're going to turn the social media reigns over to Ron for another season of to share a bit more behind the scenes of what it's like running WPG. But for today? We will give Ron a big THANK YOU for imagining Wired Production Group and all it could be. Without Ron, we couldn't do what we do every day. Ron, THANK YOU!!
