🌻This week’s highlight: Rudbeckia🌻

They are like fuzzy little sunflowers, bursting with golden petals and sunny charm. These cheerful blooms started from seeds last year. Back then, they gave us just a few modest stems. But this year? They have returned taller, brighter, and more abundant than ever! A perfect reminder that good things really do take time to grow.

Let’s talk about lilies. Love them or hate them?

When we brought our mixed bouquets with lilies to the market, we saw it all. Folks leaning in for a deep sniff… and others just casually walking away! 😂

It’s true. Lilies are fragrant and dramatic. And they are also very toxic to cats. If you have a feline friend at home, this beauty might be a no-go. No worries though! We will also have lily-free bouquets.

So tell us. Are you Team Lily or Lily No-Thanks?!

Reporting from the field, under this wild heat wave! ☀️🔥

Our very first dahlia bloom of the season is here… and she is a beauty! Meet Totally Tangerine, shaped like little sun rays with a burst of molten lava in the center (or maybe that’s just my heatwave brain talking😅).

Either way, dahlia season is officially here, and we cannot wait to see the summer blooms come into full swing!

We are already missing our peonies 💕
 While flipping through recent photos, I came across this sweet little vignette, and I swear I could smell that room-filling fragrance all over again.

Peony season is short, but it lingers in the best way. In memory, in photos, and now, in future plans. I just placed an order for even more roots to plant this fall. Next season will be even more glorious. Stay tuned!

Our mixed bouquets at the farmers market are just the beginning. We also create custom floral arrangements throughout the week — perfect for birthdays, get-wells, anniversaries, thank-yous, or simply to brighten someone’s day.

You can browse current options and order directly through our website (link in bio), but we love working with special requests, too. Just reach out! We are always happy to help!

🌿 We kindly ask that orders be placed at least two days in advance, so we can harvest and prepare the freshest blooms just for you.

Now that peony season has passed in our fields, roses are stepping in, blooming in full glory before we even have a chance to feel sad about saying goodbye.🌹

Every rose we grow is fragrant (my husband always says, “a flower without scent is not a flower”😆). These blooms do not often make it into our market bouquets, but I save them for special custom orders where their fragrance and character can truly shine.

NOW IN SEASON — Sweet Williams! 🌸

Planted last fall and finally blooming in full color! We’ve been oohing and ahhing over these cheerful little clusters in the field all week — and yes, our harvest baskets are filling up fast. 💐

You will find Sweet Williams tucked into this weekend’s bouquets, bringing ruffly petals and vibrant pops of pink, raspberry, magenta, and white.

Come pick your favorite bunch this Sunday at the Huntington Farmers Market ! We will be there from 8am to 12:30pm. See you there!

The wait is finally over — peony season has officially begun at Curious Flowers! 💛

These past few warm days brought on a burst of blooms, and I’ll admit… I missed the perfect harvest window for a few (okay, more than a few 😅). But nothing ever truly goes to waste in our garden — the pollinators will have a sip, and we’ll get to enjoy them indoors ourselves. ☀️🐝

And the best surprise? Garden Treasure — our very first yellow peony — bloomed wide before I could even reach it. Planted just last spring, and wow… the wait was worth every second. Bold, elegant, and full of sunshine.

Here’s to the beauty that shows up in its own time.🌿
