Hey guys! The Ravington is wildly open for a lot of dates in June! We had weddings cancel six months back, June remained eerily open (except the weekend of the 22nd. I wasn’t stressed about it as I knew there was a reason for it.

If there are couples who need new venues due to the storms, send them our way. But please let them know that our home was VERY damaged by the tornado so I am juggling a lot right now!!

I’m sending prayers for peace and grace for us all right now!!

Did you know we are only an 18 minute drive from the brand new beautiful AND if you book us within 2 month of your wedding reception you can get 50% off of our normal rental fees if the date is open?! We provide such a beautiful environment, tables, chairs, a sound system, and set up that you don’t have to do much decorating to have a beautiful reception!

I don’t believe we’ve ever posted a professional photo of the pyramid skylight! Co-owner, Eric Gustafson, in all of his ADHD artistic genius, took a problem we were having with our 115 year old venue and turned it into more than art!

Back in the 1980’s when 293 N. Main Street was a factory making lucky rabbit feet keychains, they cut a 10’ x 10’ hole in the flat roof for ventilation and did a terrible job framing it in. Over the next 40 years that huge patch job leaked. We re-roofed the building TWICE in the last 8 years of operating as The Ravington, and still it leaked.

It took Eric almost a year to build this as we had weddings almost every weekend and he’d have to clean up the construction mess to get the building wedding ready. Add a brown recluse bite in there at some point as well.

We believe that art creates itself when one is in the flow of creation, so this ceiling fix turned into a skylight to bring in more natural light. Then it turned into a pyramid that is a 5’ x 5’ mini replica of the Giza pyramid made solely of glass, cedar, and copper.

Fun fact: the pyramids were never tombs—they were healing chambers as pyramids bring down a vortex of every from the aether. Eric literally had to tie himself to the scaffolding so as to not fall as he would get light headed under the peak!

The pyramid in The Ravington brings in powerful love energy into the building! Sensitive people can feel it when standing under it. I like to sing and pray for peace under the pyramid.

WHOA!!! The open house we had on Sunday, was literally the best sparkling Sunday we’ve ever hosted!
It was so much fun with multiple fashion, shows, and dynamite vendors!

Happy snow day! In honor of staying inside and snuggling, here is another dreamy winter wedding to swoon over. We looooooove that custom floral runner our reclaimed Barnwood floors! So delicious and warm!

In fact, with that in mind, we just ordered a 30 foot long navy blue runner to cover the courtyard walkway during icy weather as our courtyard becomes an ice skating rink in weather like today.

We are REALLY into winter right now and this wedding is a visual treat!! That mirrored seating chart?!?!? Sooooo romantic! When Amy with is coordinating and providing decor for a wedding we know it’s going to be incredible!!

And our 18 minute drive from makes us a perfect match: modern architecture + historic magic = a fairytale wedding!

Is it possible to overuse the word fairytale? Because Gabby and Jarrod’s winter wedding was an absolute fairytale! Literally every single photo is dripping with romance, ruffles, and sparkles. Sooooo delicious!!

They traveled up from Central Arkansas to get married at the only 18 minutes away from us and the combo of the modern glass chapel paired with the historic Ravington is the stuff that fairytales are made of! And y’all, they have a gold dragon on their wedding cake!!!! Ahhhh!!!! So magical!

We adore all of our weddings, but there is something so magical about weddings in the deep of winter.

Did you know that 2024 is the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar! It’s going to be a magical year!!

Over the years we’ve had many special weddings at The Ravington, but when dear friends get married here it is oh so special! When Christy & Tyler asked me to be a part of their ceremony by performing a Celtic handfasting ceremony, it’s was even more special for us! This is beautiful winter wedding was set up in a spiral shape so that they got to walk past every guest as they processed down the aisle to Christy’s Suzuki violin students playing “Twinkle”! The reception was a fairytale for the children: Fairy Queen Christy had a scavenger hunt for the children and passed out wings, wands, and crowns when they found the treasures tucked around the building.

Held after dark on a chilly Wednesday evening, this wedding proved that The Ravington truly is beautiful 365 days a year!
