Viewing Tips for Centerville, TN:

Location: Find a dark area away from city lights to minimize light pollution.

Positioning: Lie flat on your back with your feet facing northeast, taking in as much of the sky as possible.

Radiant Point: The meteors will appear to originate near the constellation Boötes, located below the Big Dipper.

Moonlight: A waning crescent moon, about 11% full, will set early, providing dark skies ideal for meteor viewing.

Weather Forecast for Centerville, TN:

Additional Tips:

Preparation: Dress warmly and bring blankets or a reclining chair for comfort during the chilly night.

Attention Hickman County!

🔥 Burn Permits Required 🔥

To help reduce the risk of wildfires, Tennesseans are reminded that from October 15 to May 15, a burn permit is required for any open burning in areas where local restrictions do not apply. Permits are free and easy to obtain from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division.

📝 Get your permit online at www.BurnSafeTN.org or through the MyTN app.
📞 You can also call 877-350-BURN (2876) if you have limited internet access.

Remember:

Only burn when conditions are safe—avoid windy, dry days.

Notify your neighbors and local fire department in advance.

Follow all safety guidelines to protect our communities and natural resources.

Burning without a permit is illegal and can result in fines or jail time. Let’s all do our part to prevent wildfires!

For more info on safe burning and fire prevention, visit www.BurnSafeTN.org.
