We have some big news. Inspired Events & Venue will be closing at the end of January. We are saddened to leave the community and close the business, but our family has some amazing opportunities headed our way.

*Per OLCC- If you want to bring alcohol to sip during the event, you can ONLY bring a bottle of wine. It has to be uncorked/unopened. Inspired Events has to uncork it for you, but then you can drink it throughout the event. If you have wine left, Inspired Events will cork/close the bottle for you before you leave.*
No other outside alcohol is allowed.

This is something we hold close to our hearts, and something that is very personal for us. ❤️

This Christmas season, we will be hosting a Toy Drive for a charity that we hold such an appreciation for 🎄

Last Christmas season, our premie baby girl was flown to Doernbecher Children's Hospital with RSV. For a couple weeks, we didn’t know if she would make it. We were in Portland for about a month.

While she was up there and we were by her side, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) gave us a place to stay and meals. We wouldn’t have been able to be with her as a family, if it wasn’t for them. They provided food, housing, activities and tram passes for us to use while being by her side.
I was up there for the first week, before we got in. I stayed with Addie in her room with barely any sleep, no showers, no food (unless from the coffee cart). When we got accepted and placed into the housing, Zach and the boys were able to come. I was able to come to a place to see my boys, shower, get food and rest when my mind and body were drained in ways I can’t explain.
This was during the Christmas season, and our boys weren’t fully able to enjoy it. BUT the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & SW Washington, had a toy room and each of my boys were given a toy, that to this day they play with and say “we got this at the McDonald’s Hotel!” Thanks to this charity, we were able to take the boys to OMSI and give our family memories that didn’t only involve sadness and the hospital.
I never thought I’d be able to give back in any way that would be good enough, to an organization that literally helped our family during such a scary and hard time.

But here we are, It’s not close to all I want to do, but it’s a start. As a small business owner I will be hosting a toy drive for this charity.
Addie is now 10 months old and healthy! She is doing so amazing, and we’re so thankful to both the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
If you come to one of our events in the next month or would like to drop anything off, the flyer is attached below with the information for what toys are needed & accepted, where to drop it off & a Amazon wish list for families.

- Also, please use this as a reminder to not go out if your sick, wear masks if you have to. Wash your hands & don’t kiss babies. Addie got sick after my son came home from Kindergarten with RSV, because someone sent their child to school while sick. Obviously it’s not totally avoidable, but we can always take steps to help limit the spread. RSV is no joke. -
