We are happy to introduce our third and final judge!

DJ Longbrake is a native from Central Point, Oregon. She has been involved in rodeo and the horse community her entire life. DJ has made education in the Medford school district her career for the past 17 years. She loves working with kids and showing them how to use the tools their equipped with to reach their dreams and be their best self.

DJ was a high school equestrian team member all 4 years of high school at Crater, mainly competing in speed events, roping, and drill team. After graduation, DJ was the assistant equestrian coach for Crater High School and then moved over to coaching at North Medford High school for a few years. DJ is currently the Jackson county Dog 4-H Superintendent.

Rodeo has always been her passion, and was so blessed to be born into a rodeo family. DJ has ridden with the Mccaslin Rough Stock Rodeo for the past 10 years. She has been honored to coach their drill team and carry our stars and stripes in Grand entry. In 2021, DJ was crowned the Rogue Valley Roughstock rodeo queen. Now, DJ is thrilled to be partners with this amazing rodeo and besides riding, she is helping produce the upcoming rodeo this year.

DJ has been honored to carry flags for the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo the last several years and has attended this rodeo every year. She was fortunate enough to be there for the 100 point ride when she was just 6 years old!

DJ has always been obsessed with carrying on her family tradition of stock contracting. DJ is enthralled in the genetics and studying bloodlines of our equine and bovine athletes. She is currently one of the owners of S&L Rodeo Co., where they raise bucking bulls and compete in the ABBI futurities. To date, DJ has had three bulls qualify for the world finals in Las Vegas. Their biggest accomplishment was in 2024 when her bull, H6322 Couyon, ended up 11th in the world, 7th in the average at the finals, a million dollar qualifier bull, and the first ever ABBI bull to be televised on national tv, all from the 2 year old futurity year. To say she is proud is an understatement. DJ hopes to add bucking horses from her late Uncle, NFR saddle bronc Bud Longbrakes', string in the near future.

When DJ is not at an event with her bulls or at a rodeo, you can find her in the dog show ring with her Newfoundlands, Maverick and Ellie. In her spare time DJ enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, camping, drag racing, and of course dog shows and rodeos.

We are so excited to have you DJ!
