To our loyal vendors, volunteers and public customers,

We do apologize for any disappointment if some of the displays were offensive, especially related to politics this past festival. We have never allowed religious or political solicitation. Vendors sell items be it religious or political and as long as they are not soliciting or pull people into their display and try to sell/sway you on their points, we have allowed them to sell their items. Our committee is reviewing this policy as well as the extra large display at this year’s event.

Our event was put together by many members of the Hastings Lions Club that had been “worker bees” in the past and now are “in charge”. It has been a learning curve for our team and boy have we learned a great deal.
We are committed to serving our community and you can be sure our 40th Apple Festival next year will be better! We are starting to plan now, reviewing all previous rules ans regulations and getting more succinct as we speak!
We truly apologize in offending any of you. And again, thank you for your support of our club and community.
