I had to come back from my social media sharing hiatus to share these, because I adore everything about this session.

Mandy first reached out to me in the Spring of 2022, after years of trying for a baby, she and her husband Matt were in the beginning stages of their first round of IVF. They wanted everything documented along the way, through both film and photos.

Over the past year and a half, we have laughed together and cried together. Not only did I gain a new appreciation for the 3 healthy babies I had at home, and knowledge in something I knew nothing about, but I also gained friends. I have had the privilege of being there from the nerves of their first IVF shots, the giddiness of their first transfer day, their first “congratulations, you’re pregnant!” voicemail, and the first time seeing their baby on an ultrasound. Sadly, Mandy and Matt's first baby did not make it earth side, and I have watched them handle an insurmountable amount of grief and hardship with so much grace, never wavering in that they believed someone needed to hear their story, and that God was using them for His greater good.

After a few failed transfers, they finally became pregnant with their rainbow baby earlier this year. They are now just a week or two (if that!) away from holding their sweet baby in their arms.

We captured their maternity photos on their family farm, and of course we had to include their beloved cows!

A huge congratulations to the Stahls, and please pray with me for a healthy delivery, mama and baby.
I truly can’t wait to see them as mom and dad, I already know they will be wonderful parents! 🤍

I was so honored to capture these photos for Raven and her girls. This family has been through many trials, and through it all they've never lost faith. December of last year, Raven was in the ICU on a ventilator. God knew her girls needed her more, and Raven is a testimony to the power of prayer. What a miracle she is. We snagged some photos of senior Italia during this session as well.

As wedding season approaches, I wanted to share a few favorites from a branding/family session I did for Iron Willow Floral Design last September. I had a great time capturing local florist, Reagan, her pup Willow who is the inspiration behind her business name, and even capturing her beautiful family and part of what working from home with little ones often looks like.
I found it so relatable, with having 3 little ones at home myself, and running a business. The little hands touching everything, playing, needing, being a work from home mama is not for the faint of heart, but in the same breath, it is SUCH a blessing. Thank you for supporting your small local businesses, many of us are in fact working mamas. Thank you for your patience if we take a bit longer to reply to that email or text message (and sometimes even Derek is the one handling my part of the emails). All of my clients have been so wonderful over the years and I couldn’t be more thankful.

A baseball themed first birthday shoot for our ball loving boy!

Happy first birthday to our youngest of 3, Jackson Arlo! I used his daddy's first baseball, given by his grandpa Arlin who Jack's middle name was inspired by. 🥰 He also was due on his great-grandpa's birthday but arrived a week early. I love incorporating things that hold meaning into sessions.

Tag a mama! Motherhood mini sessions are happening April 29th, 30th, and May 1st and would make the perfect Mothers Day gift! We all know as mama's we are always the ones capturing the memories and we never get in front of the camera as often as we should.
Below are the current available time slots. If you'd like to claim one of these, please comment with your chosen date and time, as well as your email address to send the invoice to. So excited for these!

These sessions will be 15-20 minutes and will include your choice of 10 edited digitals + printing rights, and are $190 (+ 6% pa sales tax) Location is TBD. I want to see what the fields are looking like and what’s blooming before deciding where we’re shooting, but it will be within 30 minutes of Chambersburg, PA.
Invoices and contracts will be sent out by email this week, and must be paid within 24 hours of receiving to reserve your spot.
While I will capture a few smiling-at-the-camera photos, I want the majority of these to be more raw and real. Play with your little ones and let me capture the way they smile at you, snuggle them and let me capture the chubby little thighs on your babies, maybe the older little ones picking you flowers, etc. I want these to be less posed and more as the way it was, if that makes sense! 🥰

Our Story

We are Chantel and Derek Keener, a husband and wife wedding photography and videography team from Chambersburg, PA. We met in elementary school, Derek was 2 years ahead of me at a small private school where everybody knew everybody. We knew each other for 11 years before we really became friends 2 years after he graduated. At the time, I was in the beginning stages of my photography career and he had just filmed his first wedding. He worked up the courage to ask me out to dinner and shopping, our evening ended by checking out a local look-out that night.

From that day on we were inseparable, many of our first “dates” were spent exploring new places and taking photos. Photo and video was our common ground, the love for capturing the beauty of the world around us and life’s fleeting moments is what brought us together. Two years later Derek proposed at that same lookout where we went on our first date. In late 2013 we officially combined services and started “Keen Imagery”. We said “I do” on June 14, 2014. We now have two beautiful daughters, Brookelyn, age 4, and Brielle, 2. We are truly blessed and so thankful for our little family! Now that you've gotten an idea of who we are and how Keen Imagery came about, let's talk about what we do! Derek and I both have over 7 years experience in wedding photography and videography. I am the lead photographer while he is the lead videographer. He's the master behind putting all of those amazing clips to music while I am the one and only photo editor! We are always each other's "second shooter", unless of course we are both booked to do the same wedding, in that case we hire one of our preferred photographer's to be our second shooter/assistant for the day! Derek's gear of choice is his Panasonic GH5, while I am totally in love with my Canon 5D Mark iv. We are SO passionate about what we do, and we just love love! We would be honored to be a part of your wedding day, or capture your family in the season of life that you're in and give you memories to cherish for years to come!
