Dirk Bodine wanted a build your own salad for dinner after visiting the Urbana's Market at the Square. Micro greens from The Little Farm Co. Lettuce mix from Kountry Fresh & Koss Family Farms. A few other ingredients from our fridge plus bacon from Sunset Acres.

Christmas Eve spread. Obligatory velveeta, Rotel and Italian sausage dip, cheeses, English butter and crackers from Sunsinger Wines, Trader Joe's ( also roasted chestnuts from Trader Joe’s), Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery, stuffed olives and Dirk Bodine’s favorite Ritz Crackers. My sister Kathy made snickerdoodle and wedding cake cookies from flour from Sunrise Flour Mill (the only flour I can eat!)and her new strawberry jalapeño jelly over cream cheese. We wish you a Merry and Bright Christmas and New Year’s! Otis wished he could sneak a snack!

We were honored to host a great group of community members on our newly expanded farm this past Sunday for our Farm to Table Luncheon fundraiser! It was a gorgeous day and a good opportunity to show folks what this expansion is allowing us to do to improve our productivity and grow more good food for our community. Special thanks to Blue Dragonfly Catering for providing a delicious meal featuring our produce!

So, I was absent from the Greenhouse Café last weekend for an awesome event. I cooked with Tiffany at her local shows. She rocked both stage and kitchen! Super sweet person. Hopefully, I will get her to Monticello next year!! Tom Vrem and Guitar Foodie co-wrote an amazing cookbook with Tiffany. Volunteer staff rocked it! Thank you all for a great weekend!
