Her mother is from ๐ต๐ฑ Poland & her father is from ๐ฎ๐ณ India. Her Polish grandmother brought her to see me so that she could see Indian representation and culture in Poland. ๐ต๐ฑโค๏ธ๐ฎ๐ณ
I am sharing this because 1๏ธโฃ I am humbled by her Polish grandmotherโs act of inclusion & generosity and 2๏ธโฃ I loved talking with little Nitya about her dreams, culture and identity. ๐ฏ
โจSeeing this little girlโs eyes brighten and face glow with happiness made me realize the importance of visual representation on a global platform. ๐

Ms Kushi is our instructor for the Kids group class. ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ซ She started as our student at age 9 yrs old - and has grown organically into an instructor for our Kids group class for the last 5 years. ๐ She is passionate about dance including Bollywood & Bharatanatyam and has successfully completed Arangetram in Bharatanatyam in India. ๐ฎ๐ณ Among several stage shows, she also performed for Phoenix Suns and Mercury 2011-2015 halftime shows with Kriti Dance. ๐ช๐ผ She is currently pursuing her Masters at University of Arizona; graduated with her Bachelors in Humans Sciences from ASU ๐ฉบ Just call Kushi a BBB (BollyBhatBabe) because of her creative semi-classical, hip-hop, fusion dance choreography. ๐ค๐ผWe love having Kushi as part of the Kriti Dance family. ๐
