Introducing a Power Planner Panelist: Lance Devereaux of Designs by Devereux Weddings and Events.

Lance “Lamar” is the owner and lead designer at Designs by Devereux Weddings and Events, a wedding, special event, & floral design firm located in Charlotte, NC. Lance, also know as Lamar Devereux, graduated from UNC-Charlotte obtaining a B.A. in communications studies with a focus in public relations. During his time at UNCC, Lance began Designs by Devereux, offering residential interior design services. Little did he know, this path would lead to his first-ever event client, and the rest is history. Today, Designs by Devereux is one the most sought after event design firms in North Carolina and beyond. Lance has designed florals for events of well-known figures such as Duchess formally of Black Ink Crew, and designed flowers for reality tv sets including Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, The Cromarties, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Designs by Devereux has been featured on newsstands nationwide in publications such as B Collective magazine and received a nomination for Designer of the Year, alongside other tops designers in the wedding & events industry at the inaugural B Collective Awards. Lance is also the co-curator of the Dare 2 Design experience, a hands-on floral and event design workshop focused on empowering new and aspiring floral & event designers. As far as his personal style, he loves bold colors, unique textures, and details that foster signature experiences.

They come together each year and bring their talents and pour their heart into serving and helping to create an experience they believe and know will transform businesses as well as lives. They do all of this while still running their own businesses, being wives, moms and leaders of their own ships so we are honored to take a moment to shine a light so you can get to know who these power planners are!!

Introducing: Chanaé Galadriel Jones, an Event Marketing Professional for M-NCPPC and Artist of Le Strassed Chaé.

When asking her to name one time she had to create to innovate in her business, Chanaé shared:

"My business model for Le Strassed Chaé exists on a unique platform that is coupled between women’s empowerment and henna artistry. Henna has been used for centuries to celebrate weddings and other special occasions in India, Africa, and other parts of the world. However, rarely has it been used as a form of self expression and personal adornment that celebrates the power of the feminine. This year I have focused on building upon the idea by creating a space in the gap between culture, empowerment, and henna artistry that for centuries has been lost -- especially for African American women of color. I have also merged my passion for event marketing with the henna art industry and created Mehndi and Mimosas, a hands-on workshop created to introduce the everyday woman to self-care in the form of henna adornment."
