A ‘NEW’ TREASURE IN CHATHAM CO, NORTH CAROLINA
With over 2600 square feet of beautifully lit and restored space, the chapel is home to our team's official creative headquarters and serves as a special event venue and creative meeting space. Well, we are no exception! Decommissioned in 1987, this once vacant, yet charming chapel still holds a soft spot in the hearts of the surrounding community and

possesses a specific period character we just couldn’t resist. It is here in the heart of Chatham County where we dream up grand ideas, romanticize everything and host events where every detail is beautifully, if not painstakingly thoughtful- we call this “Making the Magic Happen”. The chapel is our baby; sweet and simple; unpretentious yet tastefully elegant- heck, we’d even say she's kind of fancy. She sits apart from traditional catering halls and trendy meeting spaces just waiting for her moment to celebrate style and tradition her way. Never stuffy, the chapel exudes a fresh energy all her own and thanks to much thoughtful re-purposing, she is living her second life. The building is our one-of-a-kind space for spirited events, creative workshops, markets, and business meetings– for consultations, fittings, book signings, chef dinners, and a truly unique setting for film & photo. The chapel is home to area brides who dream of something more special, area chefs and farmers; bakers, photographers, musicians, floral designers and the best event planners – and it has the heartbeat of Chatham at its center. But please remember- she is just a vintage chapel and she is special to us. We are not the be-all and end-all of rental venues; we would even say that we are not for everyone. BUT- if you have been looking for a place to gather that tells a very special story then we are all in!

The Grand Finale.

Ten years ago, we embarked on a creative journey to restore life to this special chapel beloved by its community. We planned for a space where people could gather for meaningful connections, opting out of stale event trends with oversized guest lists and steadfast in our belief that gatherings should be intensely intimate, curated, and personal. ⁠

Love Big Celebrate Small caught on. Families made memories that will last a lifetime, and we built a team that cares fiercely. As best friends and business partners, we witnessed some of life's most beautiful moments together. We worked [really, really] hard, cared even more, and received consistent 5-star reviews. Our Parlour couples and their families quickly went from clients to lifelong friends.

With the new year upon us, we are so excited to announce that this beautiful chapel and brand will embark on a new chapter of its own. The Parlour at Manns Chapel will continue to thrive under the stewardship of a new visionary owner: Melissa O'Hara. As the founder and owner of , Melissa's years in the wedding and events industry will make for an outstanding next season! She is passionately committed to ensuring events are consistent with the vision of our couples and clients, and she is excited to honor the exceptional list of creative vendors that make this venue so unique.

What's next for us? As designers, starting anew is a given- seeking inspiration is a constant, and it's when we are happiest and most ourselves. We sincerely look forward to seeing The Parlour at Manns Chapel grow and thrive in Melissa's capable hands, where memories will continue to be made, and Loving Big will always be paramount.

We are so excited to check in with Gabby + Zach, who married at The Parlour in the fall of 2017. Q: What is your favorite memory when you think about your wedding day? A: GOSH, there are so many memories from that day. I think Zach playing the song he wrote for me was definitely at the top of my favorite moments. Also, digging up our bourbon and sharing it with friends and family, the food trucks, the bluegrass band, riding off in our friend's vintage Checker cab... I honestly can't pick just one! I loved it all! ⁠

Q: Why did you choose an intimate venue for your special day?⁠
A: We LOVED the Parlour. The location, size, scenery, and beautifully restored chapel were exactly what I imagined for my wedding day. We knew we wanted an intimate venue that was a little off the beaten path, and it met all of our criteria. Aimee and Yvette were the best and super helpful in recommending vendors to work with us (including our photographer, ⁠, who was the perfect fit for us). They were extremely responsive to our questions and ultimately helped ensure we had the best wedding day. ⁠

Q: What are your dreams for the future together? What's next?⁠
A: We plan to stay in Floyd, VA, and continue to build on our home here. We have plans for maybe one day to build a tiny home for guests. Zach is still playing music and has plans to record another album eventually! But, right now, we're mainly focused on enjoying the time with our two little ones while they're still little. :) ⁠
