The Barn at Valhalla was originally built as the home and personal party venue for a prominent member of the Chapel Hill community. It came under new ownership in 2014 and has been remodeled and redecorated into a wedding + event venue. The venue is comprised of three structures: The Barn, The Lodge, and The Gazebo. These sit on 30 acres and are connected via bridged walkways and porches, all over

looking the pond. The venue lies 15 minutes from downtown Chapel Hill, but feels like a distant location. It is unlike other venues in the area in that it sleeps 26 people and rents for the entire weekend. It is a unique venue that transforms events into destination experiences! Although many weekends welcome weddings, The Barn at Valhalla is also available for retreats, corporate events, reunions, holiday parties, graduations, and other joyous and commemorative events. This place is always tugging at my heartstrings! It sometimes overwhelms me when I'm pulling into the driveway. Here's a little glimpse of my driveway view today. ❤️

At least someone is enjoying all of this rain!! These goslings were born earlier this week and have been enjoying every puddle around the property! I've loved watching them splash and waddle around!

One of my favorite things about being at The Barn is feeling like I'm Henry David Thoreau in "Walden"...and then driving 10 minutes to Chapel Hill for lunch! Best of both worlds if you ask me!
