Our Story

The Barn at Valhalla was originally built as the home and personal party venue for a prominent member of the Chapel Hill community. It came under new ownership in 2014 and has been remodeled and redecorated into a wedding + event venue. The venue is comprised of three structures: The Barn, The Lodge, and The Gazebo. These sit on 30 acres and are connected via bridged walkways and porches, all overlooking the pond. The venue lies 15 minutes from downtown Chapel Hill, but feels like a distant location. It is unlike other venues in the area in that it sleeps 24 people and rents for the entire weekend. It is a unique venue that transforms events into destination experiences! Although many weekends welcome weddings, The Barn at Valhalla is also available for retreats, corporate events, reunions, holiday parties, graduations, and other joyous and commemorative events.
