My favorite part of designing a wedding, right here. ๐ฅฐ
Weddings typically require at least one full day of designing, if not 2-3. It is a LOT of rapidly churning out bridesmaid bouquets and wearables and centerpieces. Itโs exhausting stuff, so it probably sounds insane when I tell you that my favorite pieces, what I consider true fine art florals, usually happen in the quiet stillness of the evening.
Iโm positive Iโm in the minority of designers here, but I feel like I do some of my best work late night in the studio. Itโs calmer and quieter, so I can hand-select each stem, wire and tape to my heartโs content with no interruptions, and thoughtfully tuck each bloom into its forever home. It brings me so much joy to put so much of my time, energy, and creative expression into a single bouquet. It makes me feel SO incredibly grateful. All those days of design, never mind the months of planning, are well worth the moments I can steal just for myself and the best blooms I could find.
My studio is my refuge, and we all need a place like that. If you havenโt already, go find yours.
