On your wedding day, moments unfold exactly as they are meant to, forming and shaping the memories you’ll treasure all the days of your lives. This Sullivan’s Island celebration began as an al fresco dinner, but as the bride and groom exchanged their vows, we quickly reimagined the reception indoors to shelter from the rain. Even when the plans evolve, we love witnessing our couples’ unshakable joy and sense of being truly present in their day…and making it beautiful for them no matter what. 🪄

As we turn to August, we’re savoring the season’s bounty, wrapping up the details for our last summer events, and diving into preparations for a full autumn calendar ahead. The heavy air and bright flavors of August always feel like a final deep breath before we dive into our busiest time of year (yes, we’re already beginning to look ahead to holiday celebrations!). Every day and through every season, we are so grateful to do what we love alongside our wonderful team.

Under the autumn sunset on Orange Street, guests celebrated with chilled Ruinart in hand, oysters freshly shucked by and charcuterie that never seemed to run out. The music flowed easy, and custom linens by yours truly caught the last golden light.

A moment for one of Chef Michael’s most beloved summer ingredients, Jimmy Nardello peppers 🌶️ He discovered the pepper while cooking in Boston (the Nardello family brought the seeds to New England from Italy in the late 1800s) and he now sources them locally from growers around Charleston. Once in the kitchen, the possibilities are endless—find him caramelizing the peppers on the grill, stuffing them with cheese, grinding them into a sweet chile powder, or highlighting them in flavorful pepper sauces.
