📣 Apply today: Mayor's Summer Youth Jobs Program!
“Our Summer Youth Jobs Program provides our young people with valuable work experience, opportunities to meet new people and develop leadership skills, and a paycheck,” said Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin. “If you’re, ages 14 to 18 and looking for a summer job or you know someone who might be a good fit for the program, check out the application or give us a call.”
Applications will be accepted from March 15 to April 15 and be considered in the order in which they are received. The MSYJP will run from June 5 – August 3. The application can be completed online at: https://bit.ly/3Lm81Od. Selected applicants will be notified by May 1.
Positions for the Summer Youth Jobs Program are available in the General Services Department, Parks and Recreation Department, Public Works – Public Grounds Department and at Spring Hill Cemetery. Participants, ages 14 - 18, can work up to 30 hours per week. Public Grounds positions may require a 7-hour shift. Applicants, ages 14 – 15, will require a work permit from their county/school.
