The Main House showcases 1786-era architecture with period furnishings, an expansive piazza, grand lawn and sunlit terraces made of bluestone, brick and oyster tabby. Within this relaxed and refined setting, the scenic beauty of the Lowcountry highlights unrivaled sunset views along the waterfront. The rich history of the property spans a Revolutionary War invasion, the arrival of Charleston World’s Fair and a visit from President Theodore Roosevelt. Since 2007, Lowndes Grove has been lovingly preserved by Patrick Properties Hospitality Group, following its meticulous restoration in collaboration with a team of architects, artisans, landscape and interior designers. Alongside the 1786 Estate, the expansive grounds are also home to the more intimate River House.

F E A T U R E D • F R I D A Y // This week, we're shining a light on Hannah + Alex's floral-filled fête at Lowndes Grove! The couple said 'I do' in a ceremony on the front lawn before welcoming guests down by the water for a breezy cocktail hour where they were greeted with specialty cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner took place under the main tent, adorned with lavish, overflowing floral installations, disco balls, and rattan accents. And the sky certainly put on a show, with the sunset providing a gorgeous glow. Guests were then treated to a delicous gelato bar for dessert before hitting the dance floor for the remainder of this fabulous April night. Cheers to the newlyweds!

🦋FAIRYTALE FRIDAY🦋 This week, we were so excited to see Caroline + Ryan's magical winter wedding day (think fairytale meets enchanted forest!) featured in the newest edition of Charleston Weddings Magazine that we just HAD to share it again! According to the feature, "Atypical wedding florals climbed, draped, and spilled across floors, and two larger-than-life pink plaster oyster mushroom installations created by florist Petaloso brought magical rainforest vibes. The entryway installation was a showstopper. The theme was inspired by the bride's favorite childhood movie, FernGully." Sometimes, fairytales do come true! Last month, Jacqueline + Zach celebrated with all their nearest and dearest in a day full of fun summer florals, patterns, and Ashley River breezes. Following their church ceremony, the couple welcomed guests with refreshing cocktails... including frozen boozy pops! As a special touch for the es**rt display, the bride used her great-grandmother's heirloom teacups that had been passed down through the years. Dinner was enjoyed beneath romantic, flowing drapery and chandeliers. It truly was the perfect, enchanting summer celebration 🥂

F E A T U R E D • F R I D A Y // This week, we're shining the light on Ally + Stuart's breathtaking April soiree at Lowndes Grove! According to Ally in a recent feature on Style Me Pretty, "when we settled on a springtime celebration in Charleston, I knew I wanted to incorporate some whimsical elements, such as a floral arch, a dance floor ceiling installation, and mixed floral bridesmaids' gowns. From the stunning bouquets to the gorgeous dance floor installation with floating 'orbs,' every detail was perfection. Blossom Bay Design's creation of a breathtaking floral arch for the ceremony and the lush aisle decor added was pure magic. The quality and variety of food and drinks were exceptional, and I highly recommend PPHG to any couples getting married in Charleston. As a fun detail, one of the signature cocktails at our wedding was "The Stingray," an extra dirty martini named after our favorite drink at our favorite spot." And when Ally and her mom found the stunning mother of the bride gown by Monique Lhuillier, they knew it would serve as the inspiration behind the "springtime in Charleston" design she had in mind for the entire wedding. 🌷
