The Main House showcases 1786-era architecture with period furnishings, an expansive piazza, grand lawn and sunlit terraces made of bluestone, brick and oyster tabby. Within this relaxed and refined setting, the scenic beauty of the Lowcountry highlights unrivaled sunset views along the waterfront. The rich history of the property spans a Revolutionary War invasion, the arrival of Charleston World’s Fair and a visit from President Theodore Roosevelt. Since 2007, Lowndes Grove has been lovingly preserved by Patrick Properties Hospitality Group, following its meticulous restoration in collaboration with a team of architects, artisans, landscape and interior designers. Alongside the 1786 Estate, the expansive grounds are also home to the more intimate River House.

F E A T U R E D • F R I D A Y // This week, we're sharing a special sneak peek at Lauren + Jesse's quintessential late May wedding day at Lowndes Grove! Working with their talented planning team at Anderson Event Design, the couple brought together all their favorite people in a backdrop that screamed 'lowcountry beach chic'. The décor struck a perfect balance between tropical and tailored—think Charleston sophistication meets relaxed coastal vibes. From the lush, fresh greenery to the sage + olive textured patterns accented by pops of crisp white and natural wood tones, L+J's celebration exuded an elegant, garden-inspired Southern allure with a refined coastal flair. Following the ceremony at the Citadel chapel (the wedding bells could be heard from Lowndes Grove!), guests were welcomed to cocktail hour by the waterfront where they were greeted with spicy margaritas, old fashioneds, and cava alongside delectable hors d'oeuvres like lobster hush puppy, bacon-wrapped shrimp, and raspberry + almond brie. As daylight transitioned into golden hour, it cast a romantic glow over the space, with overhead string lights and pendant lamps enhancing the evening atmosphere. Following dinner, guests refueled with espresso martinis before late-night chocolate milkshakes + truffle parmesan fries (for which the couple had custom cups and fry holders made!). To end the night, the couple made their exit to a shiny Rolls Royce amongst the sparklers and all their favorite people!

F E A T U R E D • F R I D A Y // This week, we're thrilled to share some sneak peeks into Bailey + Kevin's absolutely jaw-dropping wedding day at Lowndes Grove! Every detail was visual treat for the eyes, creating the perfect clean + crisp almost-summer feel. Between the custom lamps (LOVE!), the beautiful sage bars flanked by towering live trees, and the bridesmaids all in white... the whole day exuded fresh elegance. The dance floor took over the oyster tabby extension space; the green + white striped draping combined with white, oversized light fixtures definitely gave chic, high-end South Beach pool party. While it initially looked like rain, the clouds cleared and the sun peeked through just in time for B+K to say 'I do' in an outdoor ceremony on the front lawn facing the house. Guests then made their way to the dock for cocktail hour, complete with (of course!) a traveling raw bar and other pre-dinner goodies, like fried ravioli and ham biscuits. The reception was nothing short of breathtaking, and we for one cannot wait to see what the rest of their wedding gallery has to show! Cheers to the newlyweds🥂
