This entire evening is about strengthening our community bonds; absolutely every aspect of this event has been donated. Friends have donated time, energy, and talent, locally owned businesses like Charleston Bread, Electric Sanctuary Tattoo, The Farm Life and Kin Ship Goods have donated their food, skills, and art, while Gritt's Farm is donating pumpkins for the kids, and someone else is donating paint and supplies. Appalachian Power Park is donating a free hotdog and soda for the kids, and donated their space, and we also have toothbrushes donated from Just For Kids Dentistry, PLLC, and Ghareeb Dental Group has also agreed to donate toothbrushes. We have a few more businesses we are meeting with this week to discuss the possibility of donating.
Of course, the entire point of our raffle is to raise money to ensure folks in the community have something to eat on Thanksgiving, and we highly encourage anyone who is ABLE to donate (non-perishable foods, blankets, coats, etc.) to do so, the goal of the evening is to start bringing our community back together. We have not asked anyone to donate money, and while that may seem strange, there is a reason behind our madness. There is a very different, and stronger connection formed when you see just how the item you donated brought immediate joy to a child’s life.
We want to show folks what happens when you invest in the community, and work together to make sure no one misses fun events because of financial restrictions. We hope you'll come join us for this spooky, wonderful evening and enjoy the movie!!
We would like to thank Amanda Estep from Electric Sanctuary Tattoo for designing this beautiful flier for us
