The Pirate is alive and well and taking bookings. Kids love him. Sometimes, he brings the guitar and plays a few songs. I recommend Pirate Jean to any family looking for a unique and fun birthday celebration for their kid!

Thank you Miss Stacie for hosting a visit by Captain Jean, in Clayton, NC last week. Your students were attentive, great listeners, very good at games, fun and of course, awesome dancers! We had a blast!
I would recommend Bada Bling Ballet School in Clayton, NC to every parent who wants their child to learn a skill for life and to every adult who wishes to learn ballet, at any age without experience and without fears, including all the balance and fitness benefits that come from it. Best of all, Stacie is a master of ballet and a nice person who teaches both kids and adults her craft and treats them like family!

The Pirate has returned for an event in North Carolina this week!

Heading to North Carolina on Monday for two Halloween week appearances at a kid’s ballet school! These appearances involve me reading a book to the kids written by Jimmy Buffett and his oldest daughter, called, “The Jolly Mon,” and playing and singing the song that inspired the book!

It goes like this:
- the kids meet a friendly character larger than life.
- we recite the Pirate Oath (all about friendship and being a good person).
- I give them cool Pirate rings.
- we go on a treasure hunt.
- sometimes I tell them a story or read them a related picture book and act out the parts.
- sometimes I play them a few songs with my guitar and we sing together.
- sometimes we do limbo!
- sometimes I am invited to lead Happy Birthday song!
- always, our experience together is a one of a kind birthday memory!

As I officially embark on a new journey, I have invited Facebook friends here. Accept should you desire, or simply walk the plank back to your own ship 🙂 Seriously, I have decided to do something fun and engaging again, in addition to my music. It’s going to be a rough sea until I am able to navigate this new water and connect with those who might like to hire me for kids birthday parties and for adult appearances. As many of you know, I don’t go half in on anything - it’s do it right, or don’t do it at all! Thank you for your support and for any and all marketing suggestions.
