We definitely had a fun time with the costumes on this one! Or should we say... lack of costumes? Happy opening weekend to the spectacular cast of The Full Monty! It's been a blast going on this glitter-thonged, tear-away-pants, cowboy chaps-filled journey with you. Y'all are amazing. Many broken legs on the remainder of your run!!! 😘

It's National Sewing Machine Day! Fun fact: all of our machines and mannequins have names. All of them French, except for Emma's machine that acts up a lot and is annoying (her name's Becky). This is our blindstitch machine Coraline! Coraline can hem a pair of pants in about 12 seconds, so we LOVE her. Do you name inanimate objects where you work?

We had a lovely company outing to the .philips.church Tea Room for lunch. This annual events is one of our favorites! Good food, a gorgeous outdoor courtyard, yummy desserts, and just a 20ft walk from the shop! What could be better? People exploring Charleston's famous Philadelphia Alley often see our door open on beautiful Spring days, and are unsure about what we are and what we do. Impulsively made a sign to put out front last Friday, and we've had SO MANY interesting visitors since then! Couples and families from New York and Wisconsin, Switzerland, Jersey and Virginia, and so many places. We will definitely keep this going because it's so fun! If you find yourself on our little alley, stop in and see what's happening in the costume shop! We're always working on several upcoming theatre, film, and television productions. Come see what's new!
