In view of USA Boxing's suspension of all boxing events, the Hometown Heroes Boxing Championships scheduled for March 13-14-15 is hereby cancelled. We are mandated to comply with all USA Boxing decisions. We will try to reschedule at a later date. Please notify your boxers so they can notify their parents. I do not want anyone making the trip only to find out there is no event. I am so sorry about this and the late notice by USA Boxing especially right before the weekend.

BOXERS/COACHES please sign up for the 2020 National Hometown Heroes Boxing Championships in Charleston, WV March 13-14-15 at the Beni Kedem Shriners. Go to www.hometownheroesboxing.us to sign up and mail in your $25 entry fee as instructed. If we cannot match you, the entry fee will be refunded. Championship logo belts to all champions in all age and weight classes including open and novice. Runners-up will receive logo silver medals.

The 2020 Hometown Heroes Boxing National Championships will be March 13-14-15 at the Beni Kedem Shriners in Charleston, WV. Logo championship belts and logo gold medals will be awarded to all contested champions. Logo silver medals will be awarded to all runners-up. The session format will be as follows: Friday evening, Saturday noon, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. The entry fee will be $25 for each boxer which will be refunded if you are unopposed. The event is open to all registered male and female boxers. There will be a novice and open class. Let's make this the biggest and best yet. More details will follow. Please share this with your fellow coaches because Facebook limits me as to how many people I can contact.

The Hardknocks Training Center of Portsmouth, OH is having an event on July 20, 2019 at the Columbia Music Arena in Portsmouth, OH. They have been planning this event for some time to make it successful so I encourage you to get your boxers names in as soon as possible if you have not already done so. They have been providing boxers to other events so let's reciprocate and help them. Call 740-352-5939 or contact Bo Mayo or Joe Collins on Facebook with you boxers' list. I have tagged some coaches that immediatedly came to mind but help spread the word so this event can be a success.

Boxing officials are needed for the Rumble On The River in Marietta, OH on June 15. Coaches, if you are certified as an official, please come prepared to officiate or if you have officials on your team, please ask them to officiate. Officials in the surrounding LBCs are invited. This is going to be a great event...let's not kill it because we don't have enough officials.

CHAMPIONSHIP BELT selected for the 2019 National Hometown Heroes Boxing Championships at the Beni Kedem Shriners Temple in Charleston, WV April 19-20-21. Boxers can enter the event by completing and submitting the entry form on www.hometownheroesboxing.us. The deadline to enter is April 6. The belt will have the HHB logo on the center plate. The tournament is open to all age and weight classes for novice and open boxers. Unopposed champions will not receive a belt but will receive a gold logo medal. Hometown Heroes Boxing Update: New management at Beni Kedem Shriners in Charleston, WV wants the National Hometown Heroes Boxing Championships event to return. If there is sufficient interest among boxing teams, it will be held in late March or April of this year. Coaches, I know you can't commit without a specific date but please let me hear from you if you are interested. Also, please contact other coaches in your area.
