Vow renewal in Ireland Part 3:

After booking the venue, officiant, and photographer, I decided what I wanted our “look” to be. I wanted something elegant and classy to match the castle, something different than our wedding had been 15 years prior, and something fun to match our personalities.

I chose the colors first: white, blush, burgundy, and Josh in a navy blue suit. Then I narrowed down the details that were important for us to include in our vow renewal. This was a super small, intimate occasion, so only a few things mattered: a stunning bouquet, a boutonnière to match, a wow factor dress with a classy wool jacket (because Ireland), blush shoes for me and a blush tie for Josh. I also knew I wanted someone to style my hair for me, but I would do my own makeup.

I chose boots that I will wear often, I found that specialized in the design I wanted for my bouquet, hunted down my dress here in CHS at , and was lucky enough to book to style my hair for me! She came highly recommended by the castle as well.

A few other details: I got a manicure the day before leaving CHS, then we went shopping for traditional Irish claudah rings on our first day in Ireland so we could exchange them at the ceremony, I ordered vow books and hair pearls off , I wore the earrings I wore on our wedding day 15 years prior, and our officiant provided ribbons for an Irish hand fasting, a bowl for a hand washing, and shot glasses for an Irish whiskey toast. We picked up a bottle of a local favorite whiskey once in Ireland as well.

And that was it! A vow renewal can be as simple as it sounds if you let it. A little does go a long way!
Honestly, the hardest part was getting my dress overseas. I researched for months on the best way, and finally bought a special bag by that worked perfectly!

The timeline day of the vow renewal was simple as well: Enjoy the day and let the vendors do their amazing jobs. 😀

After the ceremony, we took pictures, and then had a full Irish tea in . It was the perfect day.

Vow renewal in Ireland Part 2:

After choosing and booking the venue we wanted, I researched photographers and officiants in the area of the venue. These were my two biggest vendors I wanted to tackle first.

I started by asking the venue if they had a list of preferred vendors, and they did! I went through that list and chose the photographer whose work I loved the most, and reached out to her. I’m so thankful for ! She made all our picture dreams come true! And after a Zoom call with her, we knew we also just vibed with her on a personal level. ♥️

was also such an amazing find! She came highly recommended as well, and after a Zoom call with her, we knew she was the one for us! She planned the perfect vow renewal for us, and incorporated our faith, and so many special touches that encompassed our personalities. ♥️

While choosing vendors for a vow renewal or elopement in another country, do your research, ask for recommendations from your venue, make sure they can incorporate details that are important to you, and schedule Zoom calls to make sure you vibe with your vendors.

Ok, y’all! Let’s finally talk details from my vow renewal in Ireland! 🇮🇪

I have been asked approximately one million questions about how I planned this across the pond, so I’m going to break it down for those of you that want all the deets! 🇮🇪

First things first- I picked the venue I wanted, then I planned the rest of our trip and vendors, etc., around that. Soooo pick the location you want FIRST when planning something across the world, and then go from there. 🇮🇪

We chose because.. well… LOOK AT IT. 👀

We wanted somewhere with exquisite scenery, top notch accommodations, in the Irish countryside, historic, and unforgettable. Ballyseede Castle checked all the boxes for us. So that’s the first thing I booked! We stayed for 2 nights, and I chose the dates based off their availability when no other events were happening on property. I wanted it to be quiet and special for just us. 🇮🇪

Make sure the venue allows ceremonies, and ask questions about requirements to reserve the space you want to use on their property. Make sure professional photographers are allowed if that’s something you’re going to book as well. 🇮🇪

Bailey and Zack are hitched!! ⭐️

Yesterday was the perfect day. Bailey is the sweetest, bubbliest, old soul in a gorgeous young body. She was a delight to work with and watch enjoy her big day! Zack is the best match for her, and I couldn’t be happier for them! ⭐️

The best team of vendors pulled off an exceptional celebration, and it truly was a delight! ⭐️
