FIRST THINGS FIRST…
here’s exactly what I would do today if I were just getting started on planning a bach party
1️⃣ meet with the bride + discuss HER top priorities for the weekend — all your decisions will be based around this! if you have a destination, that’s great; if not, discussing her priorities will help you decide on a destination + you can go from there
2️⃣ create a central place for all your info to live — I always use my templates for this + if you have the Bach Party Playbook you know those cover everything, but if you want to use something else, that’s great too! make it easy on yourself so the girls don’t have to text you for everything — this is where they’ll find the budget, itinerary, packing info, etc etc etc
3️⃣ send your invite text — I’ve covered this in previous reels and will do a deep dive on this next week, but give the girls the info they need to make an informed decision! this will cut down on drama and drop-outs

HOW SHE DID IT ✨
Tori messaged me in early February saying that she was planning her bestie’s bach party and while they already had the Airbnb… she wasn’t sure where to go from there, and she was feeling a little overwhelmed.. and she’d also just started a new job!
I said giiiiiirl no worries, we got this! planning a bachelorette does NOT need to be this crazy thing where you spend a ton and are constantly fielding opinions from the rest of the group
so here’s what she did:
⚡️ she sat down + had a chat with the bride about *exactly* the bride wanted to do during the weekend
⚡️she created a central place to keep ALL the weekend’s info, so the girls could find it at any time
⚡️she sent a budget + super loose itinerary to the girls to make sure everyone was on the same page
⚡️she said hell nah to any girls trying to override the priorities of the bride
she had never planned a bach weekend before and suddenly, she was the bach party queen!
when you have your process dialed in, and you know exactly what the next step is.. planning a big weekend like this can be sooo straightforward! yes, you’ll absolutely still need to put in some work — but you’ll know you’re on the right track and you’ll be able to skip soo much of the guesswork that can come from social media overwhelm + way too many opinions

the one time that I DO understand girls backing out at the last minute is when they were never told a budget or plans and suddenly they’re involved in a $5000 weekend that they weren’t anticipating 🤷🏼♀️
but as the planner, if you did communicate clearly… then it’s on the other girls to stick to their commitments (and they should, if you set yourself up for success!)

when I was planning my sister’s bach party, I totally could’ve gotten overwhelmed by ALL the things that I had to plan, and especially all the things I saw online that I felt like I needed to book and pay for…
but once I zoned in on my priorities for her weekend (taking into account what SHE wanted)…
then I had the best time ever making her dream weekend happen!
the takeaway?
at the beginning of your planning (or whenever, if you’ve already started!), choose your priorities for the weekend, focus on those, and don’t worry too much about the rest!
for example…
for my sister’s bach party, she and I discussed that we definitely wanted to do a boat day, a big brunch, and a night out. I booked those before I did *anything* else, and then the rest of the weekend was built around those big activities.
this was also SO helpful with budget, because the girls knew those were our splurges, and I kept everything else pretty lowkey (pizza at the house, tacos one night for dinner, etc). I also didn’t go crazy on favors for the girls because I knew that just wasn’t a necessity for me! instead, I covered the cost of tees and then put some of my personal budget towards getting more groceries for the house.
if you’re planning your bestie’s bach party right now, whether you’re in the beginning stages or towards the end, I highly recommend that you sit down + get organized, and think about what’s most important to you + your bride for the weekend you’re planning!
