Notes from the President:

Tammy Frazie set up a table and took part in Juneteeth Celebration. Tammy is a board member on the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs as well as a WCC member. HHOMA gave away 12 bicycles that day from the table Tammy hosted.

A big day at Capital Market today.
Lori Ray and Lynne Jenkins secured an apron with Chef Paul's signature on it for the Style Show Auction. Donna Allman, Jane Rasak, Lynne Jenkins and Janet Bailey snapped a picture with Chef Paul and snagged some great recipes to try.

Susan Jenkins is shown encouraging members to make a stitch in honor of someone we know that has been affected by Alzheimer’s. A list was made to sign the name of your loved one.

The picture of the lovely lady with a watering hose is none other than Donna O'Field. Donna also pulled weeds and along with Mary Lou Rader have contributed to the Landscape Committee. They would love to have some more help if anyone is interested The lack of rain and the high temperatures have been challenging to keep our Clubhouse plants healthy and pretty.

Everyone seemed to have a great time at 3 B's at the Clubhouse Wednesday. Thank you Margi High and Linda Redd and all of you that made the day a success.

The Bylaws Committee and the Finance Committee will be meeting within the next week. Your prayers and good vibes are appreciated as these ladies make decisions that shape the future of our club.

Keep making a positive impact out there because you never know when someone is watching.

A reminder that our BIG fundraiser event is the Christmas in July sale
- Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 14, from 9 am to 1 pm. We will
also be selling hot dogs both days - $6 for a hot dog, chips, water or
soft drink and cookie. A big thanks to all who volunteered to donate
food and /or money for the hot dog sale.

For the sale, members are needed for setting up AND working the sale.
Sale items should be brought to the club on Monday, July 10 through
Wednesday, July 12 between 10 am and 2 pm and placed in the main
ballroom. Please, don't bring your sale items before July 10 as we no
longer have places to store the items. If you choose to price your
items, that is fine and will help the workers with one less task to
get ready for the sale. Any and all hours you can help will be
greatly appreciated.

The emphasis is on Christmas items; however, yard sale items will be
accepted. The money we earn will go toward the maintenance and
cleaning of our facility.

Congratulations to 3 Adult Practical Nursing students who were awarded $500 Scholarships from GFWC WV The Woman’s Club of Charleston: Nicole Fields-Nichols, Mary Hamrick, and Jonda Grant.
We’re so proud of our students and the commitment they make to themselves, their families, and each other to complete this rigorous course of study.
Thank you to the GFWC WV The Woman’s Club of Charleston who continue to support our Practical Nursing Program. Thank you Rita Dobrich for an amazing lunch and recognition of our students!
