Following their stunning waterfront ceremony, guests were greeted with passed blueberry lemon spritz and strawberry margarita specialty cocktails. The newlyweds and their guests then dined al fresco... and nothing says 'lowcountry' like a garden party wedding, dining beneath the live oak trees overlooking the glow of an Ashley River sunset! 🥂

⭐️FEATURED FRIDAY⭐️ This week, we're sharing Ashley + Joshua's recent March soiree at the River House! The week was full of sweet, personal touches... starting with the bride's rehearsal dinner dress. Her mom + grandma altered Ashley's mother's wedding gown, turning it into a beautiful cocktail dress (and they even created a bandana for their adorable pup to wear the day of the wedding!). The couple tied the knot in a ceremony overlooking the Ashley River, framed by two oak trees. So it was only fitting that their first dance was to "Beneath Oak Trees" 🤍 During cocktail hour, the newlyweds swapped out a guest book for a white guitar, asking guests to "autograph" and share their well wishes on the guitar, as music is one of their shared loves. Everyone then gathered on the BRAND NEW oyster tabby space for a breezy tented al fresco dining experience. The bride and her dad then kicked off the party with a fun, energy-packed first dance during the most picturesque golden hour 💛✨

An ideal space for a tented reception, dining al fresco, or even a ceremony, the new oyster tabby extends the usable event space on the beautiful grounds of the River House. The styled shoot, brought to life by Invitation Only, LLC and captured by Jess Palatucci Photography, embodied the 'Charleston Garden Party' feel and featured neutral blush tones with pops of vibrant spring accents. We love how they dressed up the space, taking advantage of the natural beauty of the grounds, and we can't wait to see how our future couples incorporate the oyster tabby into their own big day!
