On this 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, we pause to remember and honor the brave souls who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. As a veteran who has stood shoulder to shoulder with my brothers in arms, I reflect on that day with a mixture of pride, sorrow, and profound gratitude.

Eighty years ago, those brave men embarked on a mission that was fraught with danger and uncertainty, but their resolve was unshakable. They fought not just for themselves, but for the freedoms and futures of countless generations to come. The sacrifices made on those sands were immense, and the courage displayed was boundless. Many paid the ultimate price, and it is their memory that we carry in our hearts today.

The beach was a crucible of fire and steel, where the true measure of a soldier's spirit was tested. Amidst the chaos and the cries, they found strength in each other and in the cause they believed in. Their unity and determination turned the tide of history and paved the way for the liberation of Europe from tyranny.

As we mark this solemn milestone, let us remember those who did not return, whose names are etched in the annals of heroism. Their legacy is our inheritance, a testament to the power of courage and the enduring spirit of freedom. To the families of the fallen, know that their sacrifices were not in vain and that their bravery continues to inspire us all.

To my fellow veterans, we share a bond forged in the crucible of battle, a brotherhood that transcends time. Our duty to remember and honor the past is a sacred one, and we must ensure that the lessons of D-Day are never forgotten.

May the stories of their valor and sacrifice be passed down through the ages, reminding future generations of the cost of liberty and the strength of the human spirit. On this 80th anniversary, we stand united in remembrance and gratitude, ever committed to the ideals for which they fought.

In honor of those who served and sacrificed, we salute you.

Flagsin Group is expanding our services to begin performing local code enforcement inspections here in St. Mary's County, MD. We are currently building our website for scheduling and e-commerce and are looking to hire qualified personnel. Preferential hiring and sign-on bonuses to those who have current State of Maryland building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing inspector licenses. If you have experience in the trades that meet the State of Maryland requirements, we will offer assistance in obtaining the required licenses and pay for your testing and license.
