As we close out another incredible year at Sluss Hall, we can’t help but reflect on all the amazing opportunities and moments that have shaped 2024. This year has been a whirlwind of activity, growth, and connection, and we’re so proud to share some of the highlights:

- Sponsorships That Make a Difference: We had the honor of sponsoring the NPLB Banquet and the Greenwell Foundation veteran retreat. These events allowed us to support causes close to our hearts and give back to our community.
- Award-Winning Year: Sluss Hall was recognized with the Emerging Award from the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce, a testament to the growth and impact we’ve achieved together.
- A Hub for Gatherings: From wedding receptions to business meetings, Sluss Hall hosted a variety of events this year, creating spaces where memories were made and connections were forged.
- Golf Tournaments Galore: Let’s just say, if there was a golf tournament in St. Mary’s County, there’s a good chance we sponsored it! From the Veterans Golf Tournament to the ERWD Golf Tournament and everything in between, we’re grateful to have been part of so many meaningful events (and maybe we’re working on our swing for next year!).
- Celebrating Leadership and Community: We proudly hosted the Leadership of Southern Maryland graduation, a Regional Young Professionals networking event, and even a lively co****le tournament. Who says business and fun don’t mix?

Each event, each gathering, and each new connection has made this year unforgettable. We’re incredibly thankful to the friends we’ve made along the way and to everyone who chose Sluss Hall as the backdrop for their special moments.

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re filled with excitement for what’s to come. Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to a bright future and even more opportunities to serve our amazing community.

Today, as we commemorate Veterans Day, we honor the legacy of all who served with courage, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. At Sergeant Major Robert V. Sluss Memorial Hall, we’re proud to be a gathering place for veterans, military families, and the community—a place built on the values of service, resilience, and unity.

This Hall stands as a tribute to Sergeant Major Robert V. Sluss and all who have sacrificed to defend the freedoms we cherish. Their legacy inspires us every day to uphold these principles in our work and in the relationships we foster. We are grateful for the veterans and military families who continue to serve our community, bringing the same honor, integrity, and spirit of service that defined their time in uniform.

Today, let’s come together to remember, honor, and celebrate all those who have given so much. We are grateful to each of you for your dedication to excellence and the strength you bring to our community.
