meeting monday, no. 2!

taught a “paint by numbers: old baldy” class last night at last night!

✏️when we were here in may, i got a good photo of the lighthouse and then used my ipad/apple pencil to create the outline.
💻after version 1, daniel helped me tweak a lot of it to make it work better with the laser. we also decided the fence needed to be cutout and pre-painted because it was too much to do in the allotted time. it also gave the lighthouse some dimension!
🎨we provided everything needed to complete the lighthouse - paints, several brushes, hardware for the back to be able to hang, plates for color mixing, water cups, etc. we took care of gluing the fences on for everyone & also helped write “old baldy, 1817” because it is very intricate.

thanks to daniel for his laser skills and my momma for being my assistant during prep & class 👩‍🎨 and thank you to everyone who joined us for a relaxing evening!

one of our favorite things about having the laser is that we can make unique gifts for special people in our lives. our son finished up 6 private lessons with miss tia and the improvements we've seen are huge! as a small business owner herself, we made her this stanley with her logo + the qr code will take potential clients straight to her website.

what do you do with extra wallpaper? turn it into cute little gift tags! daniel has been adding custom gift tags to all our orders since thanksgiving and they add such a special touch. i was about to toss this extra wallpaper from our laundry room in a de-cluttering rage, and daniel saved it from demise 🌼

last work trip of the year for both of us! a quick 36 hours in nashville 🎶

our son woke up with a fever and threw all well planned childcare plans for the next two days out the window. so thankful for my parents who came to the rescue. our flight is also 2.5 hours delayed - thankfully we have time to get where we’re going. we try really hard to not travel together for work anymore, but it’s inevitable a few times a year. it’s been quite the monday!

last week’s whirlwind trip in 10 📸! trying to find a home for a client’s convention in 2025. denver to san diego to charlotte in 72 hours. 4 great property visits! got to have dinner with my old roommate i haven’t seen in 10
years in denver and dinner with my cousin and his lovely wife in san diego. met an incredible new friend in the airport while we both waited on different red eyes. *almost* the last trip of 2023!

it's rivalry week gameday 🏈 which also means it's the last regular season game - how did that happen? we made a pair of these earrings because i wanted to wear them to our kick off game and loved them so much, we made more! we had every intention of getting them out in september, but well, fall happened! these could be a fun holiday gift or pack them away and start praying for a better 2024 season! these are made with a super cool black matte acrylic and that is my handwriting. happy gameday & go c***s!

one last shoutout for an evening of togetherness and community! first, a huge thank you to Katherine Elena Photography for capturing this special night. with a night full of amazing food, great people and tons of laughs, we were all able to come together after many hours of planning & coordinating - it would never have happened without every hand & business involved.

we have said it before and we will certainly say it again, but we’re so thankful to be part of the thriving community in and even more thankful to get to know so many people who are the heartbeat of this town 🤍

we were looking for a unique & locally inspired amenity to send our guests for an event in scottsdale, and the hotel's offerings just weren't hitting the mark, so i decided to curate them! we loved how they turned out! i shipped some items to the hotel, picked up some when I arrived in scottsdale, and brought some in my suitcase 🧳

this past weekend we were able to help someone celebrate a very "wild" first birthday!

night 3 of the program we've been showcasing the last week was an off-site private event at one of charlotte's newest venues - !

our team started at the westin to help gather guests, load the buses, & ride down to rally. we worked directly with the venue on all the details & coordinated transportation. our clients just showed up for a good time! the attendees LOVED it - we had some very serious games of pickleball going on by the end of the night!

in addition to the three evenings we coordinated, we also took care of VIP transfers + stage seating for their general session. it was an awesome week working in our hometown! 👑

on night #2 for this group, we transformed their ballroom space into a moody & fun lounge experience! after traveling, 2 full days of meetings, and a night out the previous night, the guests were able to come down for dinner at their leisure and enjoy a stress-free evening on-site.

we worked with a handful of wonderful partners to pull this one off & even had to make a last-minute linen run day of when tables were added.

when you're planning this short term, in one of the busiest months of the year, inventory & design pitches are very fluid. this evening took a lot of work, but when the client walked inside the ballroom that night, she gave me a big high five. nailed it!

spent the morning getting CPR & AED certified with !

almost two years ago i watched trainers & paramedics deliver life saving care to an attendee at one of my events who went into cardiac arrest. it shook me in ways that are hard to explain unless you’ve experience something similar. thanks to IMMEDIATE attention, the attendee survived.

as an event planner and often the “person in charge” (and also a momma) - i never ever want to feel helpless in a situation when someone needs help. this course was great and the instructor made us feel comfortable and confident. highly recommend and here’s to hoping i never need to use it!

dine around town!!

this amazing night consisted of 11 different groups going to 5 different restaurants in uptown Charlotte!

we worked with the restaurants to secure the reservations, chose the prefix menus & beverage selections, and handled deposits + final payment. our team was onsite to meet the guests at their hotel, walk them to their restaurant, stayed onsite during each dinner in case any issues came up (keep reading), and then walked them home.

one of our groups wasn't sat until almost 45 minutes after their reservation time 😩 thankfully our team member was there to coordinate drinks & apps and continually check-in for updates, so the guests didn’t have to. we always suggest having a team member at each restaurant for reasons just like this. thankfully the guests enjoyed their impromptu cocktail hour and still had a wonderful dinner!

we’re so grateful for our restaurant partners that helped us pull this off in such a short amount of time! we only had 3 weeks from contract signature to ex*****on, and this was just night 1 of 3 that we helped plan! check back later this week for night 2!

we created this fun icebreaker for attendees that were all together at a multi day meeting for the first time. each morning for three days, the answers were changed and your coffee cup showed your answer to a new question!

we love being able to use the laser to create fun things like this for our clients.
