Rowan Junction will be at Noble Smoke this Saturday from 6pm until 9pm. Glen Alexander will be sitting in on fiddle for this one and the weather forecast looks like a perfect Fall day! This is a great venue with awesome food! I hope to see you out there.

Join Tin Cup featuring the Svenson Brothers, Erik and John, at the Divide Golf Course and Grill this coming Friday from 5:30 - 8:30. Tony Huneycutt and I are super stoked about sharing the stage with these guys again and I'll be trying to steal as many guitar licks from John as I can! Erik's distinctive banjo style checks every box from traditional grass to blues and rock! In addition to some of Tony's originals, you can expect to hear Bluegrass, Americana, Classic Rock and Old School Country. It's sure to be a fun evening and I look forward to seeing you there!

I think the staff did an excellent job on this event from 2016. James "Shorty" Nehrenberg was the lead caterer and as always he produced the most beautiful Vegetable, Fruit and Cheese displays.
Kudos and many thanks to Bill Blumreich and Marissa Perrell for their hard work on this one as well! I just manned the camera!

After ten years and 795 weddings, Smart Choice Catering is no longer the caterer for the Alexander Homestead wedding venue. They made the decision to end our business relationship on April 18, 2021. Any reviews, good or bad, beyond this date should not be associated with my company. I'm posting this to serve as a public notice and to ask that anyone taking the time to read this to please hit the share button. Regardless of my personal disappointment in this matter I sincerely wish the best for the venue, their staff and for any future events taking place there.

Sweet Yeast Rolls! At one point we were making around 1000 of these a week and I approached a local bakery to see if they could make them for me. When I told the baker we were hand rolling that quantity he simply said "God bless you" Unfortunately we couldn't get them made at an acceptable quality and price point so we continue to make them by hand. I've been making these rolls since 1979 when I learned the recipe at Cafe Eugene's from the legendary baker the "Dean of Dough" George Schmaren.
