Happy Mother's Day to all of the bold, beautiful women who have the hardest jobs of all... Raising knuckleheads who would rather practice their two-click flare scratch than study for their organic chemistry exam. Watching them drop out of their pre-med undergraduate studies to pursue their dreams of being the next Tiesto/Jazzy Jeff/QBert/(insert world re-knowned DJ here).

Last night, the cutest ring bearer, Brody, checked in on me while I was setting up and asked me about my DJ setup. Throughout dinner hour, he came back several times to watch me quick mix and was fascinated by the process. I told him : "Why don't you help me DJ when the party starts?"

So Brody comes back halfway through open dancefloor and sheepishly agrees to jump on the decks. I put the headphones on him so he could hear everything he was doing and we played with the cue pad buttons and worked on some baby scratching. He was a quick study and gave the crowd a sweet 3 song set! He reverbed a chorus into the next song, used an echo out effect for the second one, and then baby scratched into the third song while staying on beat! He is going to be a superstar DJ in no time!

Last spring, Taylor's brother, Michael and his beautiful bride, Madi said their "I Do's." This fall, it's Taylor's turn to rock the white dress and Bradley's turn to cry his way through his vows. It's gonna be tough beating Michael & Madi's grand entrance, but we're definitely gonna try. One thing we do know for sure is that Taylor is going to be such a stunning bride and their reception is going to be... LEGENDARY! Congratulations! We cannot wait to celebrate you both at !!!

I love a great story... Which is why my favorite part of a wedding reception (aside from the open dancefloor) are the toasts! I get to hear some pretty hilarious stories, bad jokes, awkward encounters, and a good tear jerker every once in a while. Most importantly, I get to hear a first hand account of how truly amazing our couples are!

Yesterday's toast had all of these elements. Best Man James (who was nearly two foot taller than the groom and at least a foot taller than the rest of the guests) asked our groom, Justin, to get on a step ladder and announced him as the "Tallest Man in The Room" for a good laugh. He then proceeded with some hilarious stories about them growing up together, some heartfelt moments as boys became men and congratulated the happy couple with "Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots, EVERYBODY!..."
