It’s time for our annual spring open house here at the beautiful Alexander Homestead! We are thrilled to welcome current (and future!) clients, as well as some of our favorite wedding vendors. Come dressed in your best garden party attire and enjoy spring here in our stunning gardens. With dreamy photo ops, a cash bar, food truck, and curated vendors, it’s the perfect way to kick off spring here in the queen city’s secret garden. There will also be live music, the chance to see your wedding planner and coordinator, meet the owners of the historic homestead, and connect with our in-house and preferred vendors. This is the perfect time to bring your family and loved ones to see your magical venue! We can’t wait to see you!

It was March 17th and the wedding would be that night. The venue was decorated, the food was made, the flowers delivered, but due to Government mandate, the venue sadly had to close. That didn’t stop Pastor Rick. He volunteered to drive to the hotel where the couple were staying and do the ceremony anyway. He put himself at risk for the good of this couple that were determined to still get married. A simple act made Rick a hero that day. ❤️❤️❤️

Let’s face it, the last few weeks have been insane for all of us. It’s easy to fall into the trap of fear and negativity, so let’s take a moment and spread some LOVE! Small businesses all across our nation have been horribly impacted by this pandemic. But somehow, in the midst of it all, stories of how wedding pros in Charlotte have been helping these couples navigate this uncertainty are starting to surface.

One month ago TODAY, was the launch of Charlotte Local Wedding Show. Oh my gosh, it was such an absolutely perfect day! We’re you there? I’d love to hear what you loved about it!! 😍 I had all kinds of hopes and dreams to keep this page active in the days that followed, but just 12 hours after the show, tragedy hit my family.
My mom and step dad (whom you might have even met at the show because they came to help) were attacked by a home intruder. My step dad was just moments from death, but was saved by a guest that was staying in their B&B. Mom has multiple fractures to back and ribs. Don had 18 stitches in face, 5 staples in head, massive neck injury, broken rib, and glass scrapes from head to toe.
The weeks that followed have been a blur. 5 days with them in ICU, and then arranging things at my home so I could care for them while they healed.
We thank God that they are both healing well and will make a full recovery.
I tell you this not as a sob story, but just to let you know why I’ve been quiet.
My first day back to work after all of this, we found out our venue was robbed and all our commercial lawn equipment was stolen. 😢
I sat on the gravel parking lot and the tears wouldn’t stop.
How much could a girl take?
3 days later my kids school shuts down because they found E.coli in the water system and 3 days after that we find ourselves in a global pandemic. 😳😔😭
So. If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by life right now, I feel you.
But here’s the deal...I think we can all agree life kinda sucks right now, but I want to help us all do our best to stay grateful and positive.
Stay tuned tomorrow because I’m going to launch something new to help us spread some positivity during this challenging time.

So excited to see everyone tomorrow!!! The sun will be shining and it will be a perfect day for the show!! I encourage you to arrive with a “keep it slow” mindset. There will be plenty of time to meet every single vendor, grab a bite to eat, sip on some coffee, and enjoy the live music/entertainment on the stage. Our vibe is relaxed and we want you to just soak it all up and have FUN. The bar will be open too so grab a beer or a glass of champagne and ENJOY an event that’s all about YOU and your LOVE.
Oh, and you’ll get a hand stamp at registration, so feel free to come and go throughout the event! VIP guests get to arrive at 11:30 and this enables you to get double entries into the giveaway!! VIPers, be sure and arrive at 11:25 for the slower more intimate experience! The first 5 VIP brides in line get a free glass of champagne on ME!

Many couples choose to buy a home together around the same time they are getting married (glutton for punishment IMHO🤣). Just like with anything, not all agents are created equal.
