Wishing a happy 4th anniversary to The Journey Collective! The Journey 5K was the first race we worked with when we started Go Ahead Events nearly four years ago, and we've loved growing and learning with them over the past four years. They welcomed us not only into their race but into the Journey Collective family, and they will forever be a very special part of the Go Ahead Events family. Cheers to Shears!

As we end Thanksgiving month, we wanted to take a moment to give our biggest thanks to all of the amazing events that allow us to be part of their village. Our job is to help put on great events and to make our clients' lives a little easier. But more importantly that means they are trusting us to help them serve their missions, and we couldn't imagine living life any other way. It's been an amazing 2024, and we are so grateful for every single event that we were able to be part of.

These companies have not only timed our races, but some have vendored at our races and invited us to vendor at theirs, we've jumped in as staff members for each other's races when one of us needed it, and most importantly they've shown us that the Charlotte race community really is about camaraderie.

They supply tools and equipment to nonprofit organizations so those organizations can put their time and money into their missions. It takes a village to put on events. And in this month of giving thanks, we want to thank our village.

Today, we're starting at the bottom (pun intended 🧻). Thanks to our friends at Cardinal Rents who supply porta jons for our events. We don't ever want our runners to have to even think about how porta jons magically show up on site. But if you're wondering, it's because Patti and her team at Cardinal Rents comes through for us every time.

We had an amazing time this past Saturday at The Journey 5K (4th Annual!)! We are SO GRATEFUL to be a part of this amazing event that has come to feel as much like a family reunion as it does a 5K🧡🩷 Over $30,000 was raised to support women's wellness with portions donated to Levine Cancer Institute and Sisters in Partnership to support breast cancer research and treatments. It takes a village, and we're so proud to be a part of this one!
