This month has been a lot but I know for a fact that sobriety has made it so much easier to handle. Forever grateful. ❤️ ✌️

Happy gloomy Monday. It’s been a tough couple of weeks but I know that the sun will show itself again soon. If you are struggling, know that in time, it will all be alright. If you can’t get there yourself, ask for help. I’m so grateful to everyone that has lifted me up recently. People need people. ❤️ ☀️ #askforhelp #connection #grateful #sun #shine #soon #help #peace #sober #recoveryispossible

Fun Fact Sunday! Okay, it’s not really that fun at all. BUT did you know that if you experience childhood trauma, you are SEVEN times more likely to develop an addiction? 🤯 I did not until recently and that blew my mind and also made so much sense simultaneously. If you can relate, I see you. Let’s heal together. ❤️🩹 #trauma #recover #heal #therapy #sobriety
If you are in a position to do so, please share your personal sobriety/sober curious journey with others! (I don’t just mean on social media because what even is this place?) Tell a friend, tell a neighbor, tell a co-worker about what you’re doing and how it’s changing your life. It could just be the thing that changes theirs too. #share #ripple #effect #sobriety #story #connection #passiton #sobercurious #sober #alcoholfree
PSA you didn’t ask for 🔈 You don’t have to experience a horrific rock bottom to take a break from alcohol or give sobriety a go. Also, I ramble a lot, oops. #takeabreak #sobercurious #sobriety
Thank you, thank you, thank you. So grateful!
365 Days. I made it through this sobriety thing for a whole year, y’all. How, you ask? I did it scared. I did it sad. Lonely and with support. Slow and all at once. I did it SO FREAKING HAPPY for so many days. It was a rollercoaster but I really did it and I’m so incredibly proud of myself...
To continue reading, my blog is linked below and I’ll post it in my stories as well! I appreciate you all. ❤️

We are so used to associating having fun with drinking alcohol that once we give it up, we often find ourselves restless or not knowing what we are supposed to do. You may avoid certain places or events early on in sobriety so that you don’t put yourself in a triggering situation. Sometimes that means calling it an early night and just going to bed. Some may call that boring but to that we say, whatever it takes. Put yourself first. It’s a process to undo decades of conditioned thinking and adapt to a new way of life.
Eventually, you start to uncover more about yourself and what you actually think is fun. If you have to involve alcohol to enjoy an activity, you probably don’t really enjoy the activity that much anyway, ammaright? You get back out there and you find that you have so many more good times, belly laughs, and genuine fun ahead of you. You are content. You are calm. You are joyful. You are SO excited for the future. You’re finally living.
You are sober and you are anything but boring. ✨ #sober #soberlifeisthebestlife #sobernotboring
“I don’t trust people who don’t drink.” What a dumb thing to say but I used to say it often. Let this serve as a personal apology if I ever made this idiotic statement to you directly. 🤦🏽♀️
The truth is, I trust myself so much more now than I ever did before. Why?
🌊 My instincts are always spot on.
🌊 I see situations and intentions for exactly what they are now.
🌊 I don’t ignore red flags through blurred vision anymore.
🌊 I don’t overthink my own words or actions because I actually thought them through. My conscious is clear.
🌊 I can drive anywhere, anytime. This is such a great feeling.
🌊 I allow my emotions, good and bad, to be felt completely and honored now that they are no longer numb.
🌊 I know the fun I’m having, or not having, is genuine and I lean into that.
🌊 My body signals when it needs a break and I give it just that.
🌊 I am more patient and present with everyone in my life and I know they are all getting the best version of me, even on my toughest days.
I don’t trust drinking me to make the best decisions, stay level-headed, or honor my true emotions whatsoever. On the contrary, I can confidently say that sober me is one stand up lady and I will rock with her all day. 💁🏽♀️ Happy weekend, friends! #sober #soberlife #ridethewave
