Two years in the making for Reisa’s 50th birthday celebration at . We needed it to be magical, as this AMAZING woman deserves no less. Chic and extravagant, with entertainment and surprises at every turn. And man was it ever!

We were beyond thrilled to be a part of planning + designing the unveiling of Queensbridge Collection earlier this week. We have been so excited about this project, and the STUNNING 3-tower development will be absolutely transformative for South End - and Charlotte in general.
The unveiling not only revealed the name and renderings of the development, but also their fabulous branding. From the embroidered pillows to the bar decals, we made sure to incorporate pops of their branding at every turn!
Inspired by the gorgeous sunset hues of the Charlotte skyline, our color palette consisted of soft grays and shades of blue - with pops of marigold yellow and mango orange. For a sophisticated and modern vibe, we incorporated this energetic and vibrant feel into every element in the space.
We are so proud of where Charlotte is, and where we’re headed! Thank you to CBRE and Riverside for giving us creative freedom, and for trusting us to take on this project. And special thanks to our amazing industry partners who helped us pull this together in such a short time frame.
We are so excited for the future of our city!

Here’s a little peek of what we were up to this weekend. Massage cabanas, IV hydration cabana, aerialists, 360 video booth, flyboarding, bubble girl, contortionist, & more. You know. Typical pool party stuff. 𝐒𝐎 𝐅𝐔𝐍!!!

Enter Catherine & Kenan's wedding last Spring, where their only requests were that it be:

1. Modern yet romantic
2. Fun & bright - they were not afraid of color!
3. And that it incorporate their monogram, designed by the groom

And they trusted us to take it from there. Their design incorporated a bold and colorful palette of "all shades of berry", grounded by neutral soft greys and shades of white. We even selected the color of their bridesmaids' dresses without the bride even seeing the color swatch, which was a first for us and a tad scary (not gonna lie). But it all came together so beautifully and it only took us almost a year to share a few of their design highlights. Enjoy!

Last summer, we were honored to design & plan this amazing company's team outing. That morning we had to make the call to implement our backup rain plan for dinner. It was supposed to take place underneath the Wisteria Pergola, but we'd say that our Plan B wasn't too shabby!

Their design centered around a clean & airy feel, with a neutral color palette & pops of bold, tropical leaves. Modern, yet timeless.We were all very happy with the end result!

I normally don't make New Year's resolutions but this year, I resolved to share more of our events on social media. Clearly I already failed 🙈. But with our first wedding of the year coming up next weekend, I am DETERMINED to share some of our 2019 events before we hit the ground running in 2020!
Kicking it off with this 20's-themed wedding reception/costume party, where we transformed our lovely couple's basement into a dim & masculine speakeasy and then surprised their guests with a more glam, Gatsby-inspired feel in their backyard. SO MUCH FUN!!!!

The bride and I are both from MD. Both our men are named Brad. And we both went to Hawaii on our honeymoons. We were clearly destined to work together!

I know it has been radio silent for us on social media lately but it is because we have been super busy planning & designing lots of beautiful events for 2019 and now into Spring and even Fall of 2020! It was time to expand our team and we are so excited to finally introduce you to our newest lead planner, Baye!!!!
Hey everyone! My name is Baye and I am from the island of Key Largo in the beautiful Florida Keys. After high school, I attended Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers) where I was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and received a Bachelor’s degree in English Culture and Rhetoric. During my time at school, I took every opportunity I could to travel to different countries. I love trying new things and stepping outside of my comfort zone, which is what brought me to Charlotte! I have been in the Event Planning industry for the past 2 years and still love it as much as I did on day one. I can’t wait to start my next adventure in Charlotte and am so excited to be working with such a wonderful company and team at Kelly and Co. Events!
We love that our clients give us such creative freedom when designing their space. More often than not, we move away from tradition and design the guest seating by mixing different table sizes and shapes. And sometimes even different tables all together. As long as we maintain a functional & cohesive design, we found that a good mix adds so much more dimension, texture and visual interest!

With the recent blast of cold weather and the holidays rapidly approaching, we are reminded how much we love Winter weddings! And we particularly loved designing Margey & Ivan's intimate, vintage-glam wedding at . Winter is not officially here, but we are more than ready for it, and so excited to see what the New Year brings for . Speaking of which, an exciting new announcement will be coming soon...

Studio 54 - the glam and exclusive 70's nightclub that was so over-the-top that it came to symbolize an entire era. What I wouldn't have given to have been a fly on the wall there, at least for one night! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So when 2 of our favorite clients, best friends, Christy & Laurie, asked us to plan + design Christy's 40th, we were beyond excited. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We incorporated lots of crystals and mirrored decor but grounded them with luxurious velvet fabrics for texture and contrast. A glam lounge area, foil hologram invitations, pulsing 70's music, over the top lighting, 70's theme food and a lavish, 4-tier cake, illuminated with black lights (so cool), were some other fun design elements. Oh, and 2 amazing shadow box disco dancers who later joined and danced with the guests. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are just a few teasers for now. Wow! We have 4 new couples residing in San Francisco, Indianapolis, Washington DC and deep in the mountains of Colorado. We are beyond excited to help them plan + design their weddings. Let the venue search begin!
Mary Poppins Returns is coming to theaters this December! I just ❤ that movie so a while back when we were asked to plan a baby shower for a nanny who loves Disney movies, the theme was a no brainer!
And so excited to be working with many of these same amazing vendors this weekend. Follow along this Friday as we share stories on our Studio 54-themed 40th birthday party and a beautiful rehearsal dinner and after party. We can't wait!!!

We just ❤ tent weddings. For this gorgeous lakefront wedding, we had not one, but two two separate tents. One for the ceremony (which we flipped and used for the dancing portion later in the night) and one for dinner. It came together so beautifully but how could it not with a backdrop like this?
