Follow us to be in the know of the Grown, Sexy & Fun events...ladies who enjoy the company of other ladies, gents who love gents, trans, q***r & th SOPHISTICATED LYFE ENTERTAINMENT (SLE) was developed so we can BE THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE! Sophisticated Lyfe believes that true grown & mature women have a more sophisticated palette & enjoy having fun times but also embrace having quality time. SLE

developed this group to be a MOVEMENT towards LGBT Inclusivity; breaking down the lines of an "all" black or white or whatever group and inviting ALL RACES, CULTURES & SGL (Same Gender Loving) people to come together & party, network, support, build relationships,etc since we are of this same SGL community. We host monthly events such as our signature LGBT 1st Friday's, Networking Mixers, Dinner & a Movie & our upcoming "Body & Soul". In addition make sure you look us up first for annual events such as CIAA weekend and Charlotte Black Gay Pride weekend with our annual White Party. In 2011 we will launch VACATIONS BY SLE which will be trips, cruises, bus rides, etc. Our demographic is 25-55, SGL community both male and female although we primarily have women supporters. To that end, this group reaches out to those who have stopped going out to the regular clubs in the LGBT nightlife because they are lacking substance, style, class and people that we can relate to & with. If you're tired of returning home wishing you had never left you've found the group that has the QUALITY events that you've been longing for. We reach out to those who sometimes simply want to get together with friends to Mix, Mingle & Network. We connect with those that do still enjoy partying but want to party with people who are like-minded and around the same age group. SLE's platform is AWARENESS. We believe that if we have events that educate one another on early detection that we can all live longer & healther. Each of us have either been directly affected or have loved ones that have been affected by some disease. It is our goal to build events that have a purpose to save & strengthen our community. We promise that we won't lower our standards of providing quality events and supporting good causes. So come out alone or with friends (our male friends are welcome too) and have that experience that lets you go home excited to tell a friend about the great time you had.

I purposely didn't watch any news last night before going to bed. Somehow, the weather this morning reflects the feeling of many of us. I leaned into the Serenity prayer as a piece to support my peace.

"God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I
change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

Congratulations to the many who won their respective races and the list of incredible women who are first time winners in their state. We hope you are truly the voice in those rooms representing ALL of your constituents. Congratulations to Madame Vice President, Kamala Harris, we see you, we still support you. Thank you for accepting the torch, running an incredible campaign and instilling hope to so many. Thank you for allowing so many to feel, seen. There are young people everywhere that are striving for so much more, to be so much more because of who you are.

I voted early! There was a question on the ballot that quite honestly with all the talk about the election, I didn't see anyone speak about, Maybe I missed the conversations. That being said, while I was voting I had to Google it so I could better understand whether I should vote for or AGAINST it.

For those that are still planning on voting, the attached slides provide some insight as to the FULL CONTEXT of this question. If you are an immigrant like my parents who were born in Jamaica W.I. but came to America and worked, poured into this country, pays taxes, etc. and became a Naturalized Citizen, if this becomes the amendment because people vote "for" on the ballot, naturalized citizens will NOT be able to vote. Let that sink in and vote accordingly.
Most times, imo it's the context that allows you to make a clear decision.
