The tragic news of the passing of Michael Smith came iut on Wednesday. A talented, personable man who was a great friend to all who knew him.

He was the first to play a house concert we hosted, and I was working to get him down to the barn for a show, in the coming months. He played on a Koyotes track and was a guest of many South of Sane and Koyote shows since 99. He co produced the only Midnight Rider album. Mostly, he was an awesome person.

Gone too soon. RIP Mike.

This Sunday’s Barn Concert is going to be great.

We have gotten a number of commitments this week and its going to ge a full house.This photo is rrom when Marie Calabro and Greg Biddlecome were here for the last event.

We have room for 8-10 at the moment, if you want to make it. UPDATE- Douglas Vance Tinsley and I will warm up with a short set, and I have been goaded into doing a stand-up set. Bryan Bielanski is the featured performer, and he may help me out. Kathy Cross Koons is supplying the BBQ. Let me know if you are intending to make it and we’ll save you a spot or 2 or 4.
