Our Story

One sunny day in the Spring of 2007, Karisa (Nectar Floral Designs) delivered ten tiny arrangements to ten local businesses throughout the Plaza Midwood area, leaving business cards along the way. A few days later, Serendipity stepped in and we had a home at the historic, beautiful McGill Rose Garden.

Since then, it has been a rollercoaster ride in all the best ways. Through the years, Nectar Floral Designs and McGill Rose Garden Events have grown and changed together. Nectar has now moved to a different location located in Plaza Midwood leaving McGill Rose Garden Events to oversee the events here at the garden.

We love that we can step out our back door and go for a lazy garden stroll on our breaks. The rose garden itself is quite magical, tucked in just so that you'd surely miss it if you didn't know it was here. It's our own little secret garden. While we don't tend the garden, we do oversee rentals and events here and are so deeply invested in sharing its spirit with Charlotte. It's a perfect match, and we feel truly blessed to have such a relationship with this little gem of green space.
